You should check it after a lift is installed, every time.

Basically setting it to factory specs so it shouldn't come back once recalibrated.

The dealer knows what to do, just don't let them have an edge that allows them to pull wool over your eyes like dealer 1 did.

VSC calibration is very specific on what steps to do to complete it.

Is there another solution if it doesn't work? My understanding is that the cause of this is driving with a bad alignment after the lift - not the lift itself... Is this wrong?

Alignment and / or oversize tires

Got the alignment the very next morning - along with slightly oversized tires (275/70/17)... so I should be good to go! :yay:

OP seeing that you installed the lift yourself, why not try the reset procedure yourself also? If you look at the pdf posted above, skip to number 4. It show you how to reset it without any tools (beside a piece of wire)

Just to be clear (after reading several threads about this): the traction control is not engaging like I read about in other threads. The lights are on constantly and I have no use of MTS or Crawl Control. I'm not 100% convinced this reset will fix the issue. I'm willing to try though.

Try to do it with the second gen PDF you got linked to yesterday.

Worst case it does absolutely nothing. Best case it eliminates one potential issue for free and easy.

Props for more research also. You should teach a class on this forum.

C1290 is a steering angle code. Have it aligned, and clear the codes.

Already tried that. Didn't work, but thanks for the suggestion.

Its possible you stretched a sensor wire during the lift install

Wouldn't that trigger the abs to fault as well?
