Can someone share where I find the procedure for installing a rear parking brake cable on my 05 automatic? I was seeing bits and pieces of having to disconnect battery, disable air bag, disable restraint system to disassemble center console, etc. I don't know if this is actually required so that is why I am asking. Getting ready to install the new cable but would like to hear back first. Thanks

Just take the shift knob off and the plastic tray with the cup holders in it

If you need more room than that there's a couple 10mm bolts down at the bottom of the center console

I've never disconnected a battery or had to deal with SRS stuff.

Thanks guys, got most of it done today and the raybestes cable seems to fit really nice. We shall see how it works tomorrow when I finish.
