Glad to hear you got this sorted. Just to clear up a few things we don't provide any tuning or anything for these to Procharger, they make the calibration.
I think procharger was accidentally providing an older version of the flasher. We are working with them to make sure that they provide the latest versions.

I’m fully weighted with a front bumper and winch, sliders and high clearance rear sitting on 33” Open Country M/Ts on stock gears, and down low there’s a big difference especially with the tune holding the lowers gears like how they should’ve been held it’s a night and day difference. And the power up top to play around in traffic is there. Hopefully sometime this week I have a chance to drive up the mountain because that’s where my truck suffered previously.

I got the helical cut gears. Idk how to post up videos on this site but it’s honestly not obnoxious as how the straight cut gears would’ve been.

Still hopeful that @PapaRee gets a chance to work with Procharger and then we can really dial down a tune for this.

    This sounds pretty cool:D

How long was the install? Not great at wrenching, except basic stuff but I wouldn't mind giving it a try if it's not super complicated and doesn't take like 8hrs lol.

We really need a video though, really curious as to what it sounds like:bananadance:

If you can get it uploaded to Youtube or Vimeo you can just link it here using the media button(the 2 films one in front of the other) to the right of the smiley icon, by copying and pasting the link of the video.

If I did it all in one day instead of spreading it out. It’d for me probably a 2-3hour install depending on break. I’ll try to get video either today or tomorrow.

Ah that's not too bad sounds a lot shorter than a regular supercharger lol. I have basic car knowledge but pretty handy with tools putting together other mechanical/tech stuff so might not be that bad.

    Awesome, looking forward to it:D

A drive around vid would be amazing although if somehow a 0-60 vid could be made that would be even better :p No one has really posted a proper acceleration vid on a stock-ish truck even in the Magnusson thread lol

I might be memeing here but what do you miss out on with the tuner kit instead of complete? No VF tune and no upgraded fuel system? Or is this like a stage 1 with minimal other engine improvements and if you get the 5300$ version and buy a paparee tune you could be fine?

Lol over $5k to me is like... shit id rather buy an old cherokee n thrash it

So from my understanding with Procharger, the difference is with complete kit it’s just that kit made and developed and tuned from Procharger. The tuner utilizes the same D1SC with the opportunity to upgrade/downgrade pulley sizes depending on the boost levels desired and leaving tuning open (don’t quote me on that) to the end user.

I know @PapaRee is reaching out to Procharger about the specifics on the tuning part of the tuner kit.

Being so far from custom tuners like @PapaRee and @TWTaco and this being my daily driver the complete kit made the best sense for me during time of purchase.

Thrashing a Cherokee is fun but having a head turner is a lot of fun too, especially with the community assumption that a 3rd gen is slow.

I called and left a voicemail for them, waiting on a return call.
I also emailed them and got a canned response.
Not looking good. I just want an unlocked tune to fix the Tacoma shifting and throttle, and look at everything else to see what else I can improve.

    HO INTERCOOLED SYSTEM
    • Produces the coolest charge air temps and largest power gains
    • Provides boost/power on-demand, for superior on-road and off-road performance
    • Easiest installation, only requiring common hand tools (with some trimming/cutting required)
    • Utilizes factory airbox and filter - Making fitment to a snorkel a breeze
    • The air-to-air Intercooling provides consistent, reliable power, even in extreme conditions
    • Optional intercooler available for winch and aftermarket bumper installations
    • Optimized supercharger and intercooler location minimizes heat transfer
    • Retains the factory intake manifold
    HO INTERCOOLED TUNER KITS
    • Omits tuning and fuel system components
    • Otherwise identical to HO Intercooled System
    OPTIONAL UPGRADES INCLUDE
    • Polished, or Black supercharger and bracket finish
    • Helical Gearset for noise reduction
    • ProCharger Engine Cover
    • Black Intercooler Finish (raw finish standard)
So did your kit come with any fuel system components (looks like no)? They need to be more specific with kit pictures and shit and maybe even a video or dynos stuff like ripp does lol, guess I'll just buy a d1sc on facebook market place and duct tape it on, cuz essentially you are buying a bracket, intercooler and a tune. I'd be in for the tune kit... just listed my challenger for sale

I didn’t get a fuel upgrade. Supposedly the stock fuel system can handle a bit of extra power. I am looking to do some fuel upgrades eventually. But am waiting on my afr gauge to arrive soon. So I can see what my afr is looking like at the moment.

Once I get my gauges in so can monitor everything a little bit better (Should be here this week but everything I’ve been ordering has been getting at least a 3 day delay) I’ll be pullin up into a dyno to get some numbers on paper.

Awesome man thanks for the answers, I'm also wondering what happened to URD lol they claimed some impressive numbers but centrifugal efficiency seems to be outperforming magnusson by a longshot. The more competition the better!

A future footnote to those inquiring, it is possible to use the factory tune while having a supercharger installed. Just keep your foot out of boost until you are tuned.

It is also possible to disable the supercharger entirely until you are properly tuned for it while it is still on the vehicle. All you need to do is remove the drive belt until the proper air fuel adjustments have been made and you are good to go for belt reinstallation.

For those wanting to leave the belt on after doing a blower install but are not yet tuned, I HIGHLY recommend installing a boost gauge in unison with the blower at the time of doing so. This will let you see when you have achieved 0" vacuum and allow you to be aware of how much throttle you can give it before you exceed that and are going into boost so you can let off accordingly. I recommend a boost gauge regardless, but in this scenario for this exact situation, those are my immediate recommendations.

Additionally you can zip tie the boost bypass valve open. This will negate the valve from closing the manifold ultimately negating you boost.

There's more than one way to skin a cat. ;)

The dyno on Maui seems pretty skeptical about throwing my truck on a dyno, and since he’s the only one here on the island, it’s safe to say I’m pretty skeptical about them as well.

So until we smooth out trying to get my truck on a dyno. Here’s a little clip of the truck in a well known trail in Maui (Peahi).

There was a deep mud hole we drove through but before we got there my phone decided to overheat and shut off. That video was recorded on my local overland/off-road group but it’s a private group if I can get that video I’ll post it up too.

For those wondering I’m about 250 mi into my break in, and so far driving it to and from work and now finally on a trail the difference between stock and being supercharged is a lot more fun.

But I think having anything modified over stock will always be more fun.
