Ugh that sucks,,, and sounds like Procharger does too. Good to hear you have a good shop trying to help,,, they’re probably not happy either.

Replaced the 060663 belt with a 060660HD belt. No issues since.

I'm having a lot of shake below 1k RPM on mine and still haven't sorted it out yet. The other procharger thread mentions using much stronger studs to mount the procharger.

I think what I'm going to do next is replace my fan blade (it had loads of dirt caked in it an might be off balance now), install a slightly shorter belt and then run a data log to verify RPM vs boost as I still suspect some belt slip (5.7 psi at the moment with a snorkel)

I'm curious what kind of boost you are actually seeing @BacktothefutureYoda. I lost the ability to post in the big procharger thread for the time being.

Be aware that I'm in a 4runner with a 4.0, but this is the only forum discussing prochargers on tacomas/4runners

Most likely I will try to disconnect the boot in the fender and try.

Removing the snorkel pre filter gave me an extra .6 psi, and there was a small leak that I found when pressure testing. I do suspect some belt slip and will do more data logging over the weekend. I have a PSB-1 that will log both boost and RPM.

I have the stock inbox so I might try to just remove the boot that goes through the fender (easier said than done)

Ill chime in on mines. I may be one of the lucky few but I haven't had issues with it installed on my truck. Mines is a 2019 TRD Pro. I went with the standard Full kit with helical gears and Im coming up on 5k miles installed and doing multiple hard pulls. Checking the space between my tensioner and the SC mine seems to have a bigger gap than what the OP posted.

This was with the OTT tune? Did you ever have numbers with the provided procharger tune?

this entire thread and its problem with procharger sounds like it could have all been avoided with a properly set tensioner on the procharger. i have been running the stock recommended belt for 16k miles and have no issues. definitely the installers fault for anyone who views this in the future and is seeing this nonexistent "issue" with procharger. like seriously, complaining about a loose belt when you have an adjustable tensioner and then calling it a "serious flaw" is actually laughable.

It's a lot of coin for not a lot of hp/tq in return. Nothing against Procharger. :burnrubber:

Any of you experience some more vibration through the floorboards or brake pedal? I’m noticing some recently. Went through and tightened everything up and made it better but can still feel it and see the hood shaking ever so slightly.

i dont have the procharger but if it changed the low end performance like the Magnuson i doubt anyone is regretting the decision.

On the 2nd gen it also burns out the stock fuel pump eventually due to feeding it 18 volts for higher flow. Not sure if this is needed on the 3rd gen.
