I was told the lift would leave me with vary little down travel. Any issues with that?

Harsh ride! suspension cant even handle potholes
at 4" of lift the CV angles would be steep also

its a cheap kit, and I ditched it as soon as I could

Really just about any type of lift that uses stock control arms or spindles with no drop bracket limits down travel.

Lift- stock suspension with light racing uppers,tc coil bucket gusset, timbern bumps ,defined extended shackles with shackle brace. Armor- custom tube bumper, kr fab rear bumper, trail gear wiy 78 in sliders Performance-intake manifold spacer, vibrant resonator Random stuff- kenwood head unit,b&m t shifter, hood bug deflector.
Op I would stay away from the procomp lift are you 2wd of so get maxtracspindles up then addALeaf or new leaf pack in the rear with some 5100 that will ride better.

    Ok so spindles are out.

you can do a 3" lift or hack your x member for a DB lift (range from 4"-6" kits)

For lifting a 2WD is prob. the same as why they bought a pre runner in the first place b/c where they live
