Saw some threads regarding questions on these wheels. Most people seem to think they wouldnt fit. I got them last week, installed and everything is good to go.

Looks great! But I happen to have a fondness for those rims :D

Do you have a shot from the front?

I searched a lot for a clear photo and information about Procomp's 7069.

Since I don't see OP's photos I am going to go ahead and post mine:

These are Procomp 7069 17x9 -6mm offset. You WILL need tuner wheel nuts for this. I am pretty happy with the result.

Tires are Duratracs 265/70/17. My suspension is bone stock, and I had to remove the front tab and the mudflaps on the front because it was rubbing.

Hope it helps others like me who searched a ton without finding too much.

Looks good. I got a different brand on the way with -12. How far would you say it sticks out? Do you have a straight shot from the front?

    Thanks.

Very nice. I got my rims yesterday. Tested fit the rims only and it was sticking out more than I would like (17x9 -12).

I don't know what 6mm more would look like! I think this is the perfect fit for me!

Glad it helps! Post some pics when you are done :)

    Truck looks great!

How much rubbing do you have with those 285's?? Did you have to do a CMC?

Thanks, the only rubbing I had was up front turning left. Instead of cutting the inner fender plastic I made a small hole with the tip of my knife and pushed the plastic forward towards the bumper and zip tied it. Now its out of the way and no rubbing at all. If I want to reverse the process I'll just cut the zip tie and let it come back into place.

Does anyone know off hand if these will fit in 16's on the 2nd gens?

I wasn't sure the 16's would fit with the calipers, so I went to 17's to be sure...

Hey All, Just a heads up....

I had these installed on my 2012 DC TRD with the Duratracs and I just received a phone call from Discount Tire that they have been contacted and told to Recall all of these 7069 Rims...

They said that after some studies that these rims have potential defects that could lead to failure. I don't really know whats going on but I have been told to come in and swap them out.

    This BLOWS.

I guess Im going to try and put on a set of American Racing Mojave Teflon's 17X8. Anyone know if these will work?? (I am thinking they will because I have seen them on newer model tacomas)

Does anyone have any more information about the Pro Comp 7069 wheel recall? I was thinking about ordering a set of these for my 05 Tacoma, and it looks like there are a few websites (ex: AutoAnything.com) that are still selling these wheels with no information or disclaimer about a recall.
    Thanks!
