I've been kicking this around for a while.....

    This is the mount:

It will be 14 gauge steel, black textured powder coated.

    This is the flashlight:

The beer can is shown for scale. This thing is massive, and throws more light than you can possibly imagine. I've been testing this light for about 8 months for this project to guarantee that it wouldn't have performance issues.

    How this works

The "kit" will be supplied with one mount, the light, a charger, three 18650 batteries, 3M double sided tape, and one alcohol prep pad.

I plan to mount mine on the plastic at the side of the bottom of the front seat, but it can go anywhere that it fits. It doesn't even have to go in a Tacoma, or even in a truck.

NOTE: it must be mounted horizontally.

The tape that I intend to use will not fail as long as the area is prepped with the supplied alcohol pad. The point of the tape is so that you don't have to drill holes.

I've used this tape in the past for a bunch of things. It held my GPS on the dash of my FJ for three years. When I went to trade her in, it was all I could do to get it off.

Price will be $85 for the kit, plus shipping.

    You likey?????

Dude, you are going to shit yourself when you see the light this thing throws.

I'll post a beam shot in my backyard after it gets dark.

I would be interested. I noticed the beer can from Ellicotville, I have roamed the Ellicotville area for close to 60 years.

How about rattling from the flashlight in the mount?

Nice!! I snapped my Ellsworth mountain bike frame there last night, then had a not so joyful dinner at EBC.

Way ahead of you on that. The slot that the light drops into is tapered ever so slightly to "lock" it in tight. It won't rattle, and it won't come out unless you roll the truck, in which case, you have bigger problems.

Can you detail a bit more about the flashlight? Brand, how long battery charge lasts, .. .. .. ? Thanks

Looks similar to the light sold at Interstate Battery, among other places.

Dear God, 3800 lumens? I've got a little 250 lumens flashlight I use at work and it can temporarily blind you if you hold it too close to an object or worse, catch a direct look into it. I can't imagine how bright 3800 would be. Probably like staring into the sun. Like the mount, another good product.

I'm sure that's a trumped up number, but it is bright as all hell. Beam shot coming in about 30 minutes, it's still dusk right now.
