Okay gents and @KB Voodoo I went out installed one set of crossbars. Fits very snug, and nice and even with the bed rails. I put one on towards the front of the cab. So right now my Tonneau is a little raised in the front. I will move the mount back some to let the front rest again. Great craftsmanship, looks, and it appears the possibilities are endless. Pics in a minute.

I will need to go out and move the bar to the lower setting and see if it clears the top of my cover. As it looks like it might not.

youre a brave man. i agree that it doesnt look like the bars will work in the lower slot. chad may have to raise that slot, or better yet make it 2 slots. low medium and high. low would likely have to be without the cover on, judging by your pics

    How is the stability?

Can you get the brackets tight enough with the knobs, or should I supply it with bolts instead?

Originally I thought knobs would be good for ease of use, but now it sounds like bolts are the way to go.

Can you snap a couple pics of the bracket from under the cover?

I will take some pics under the cover tomorrow bro it is nasty out there. I just installed the second crossbar with bolts this time. Tried to get some actual close up pics but with the color of the crossbars and the same color bed caps it's tough. There is a gap under all 4 bed rail mounts on top of the bed caps. I have all the bolts torqued as much as I can without damaging the bed rails. And because they don't sit flush you can teeter them side to side, meaning they move. Might be solved with some type of padding underneath. With my Tonneau I can't put the crossbar in the bottom mount as the Top of the Tonneau Cover gets in the way. Like I said it is freezing out there so I came in to warm up and it is getting dark now. I will do some tweaking tomorrow as to find out how to make them not teeter side to side.

How much you torquing them to???

Maybe 3 positions is the best. Lowest can be used with no Tonneau cover.

With a bike rack on here and 3 or so bike this could put a lot of stress on the rails! Bikes tent to swing or want to when off road.

5150 thanks for taking the time to take the photos and get this done in the cold. The quick feed back and detailed info is one reason KB Voodoo chose you I am sure!

Thanks I am not done yet tomorrow is another day. I might put my 2 Yakima bike mounts on it and put my bike on it and see how much flex there is. That way by the time it goes up for sale my guinea pig ass will have worked out all the kinks

As far as torquing them I am tightening them until I can't go anymore but I will put some more elbow grease into it tomorrow. The lowest setting could be used without a Tonneau Cover I am sure. But with my Tonneau Cover I think maybe maybe another notch will definitely work.

Just went back out a did some torquing on the two bed mounts that I used screws on. And they still teeter a little bit side to side. So Chad maybe the little curve you have going under the bed rails inside the truck can be made to sit flush under it so it stops the teetering. Just a thought Chad.

    Everything TW members recommend
@KB Voodoo - maybe next go 'round a tester that isn't a weather wuss? Maybe the beta testing would move a lot faster and we could get our hands on a final product sooner.
