will the Toyota Tacoma Hi Rise Crossbars, for use with tonneau covers (fits years 2005 - 2016) work with the Bakflip tri fold tonneau line, as the 2016 Bakflip products have lowered the cargo management rails on the 2016 models about and inch or so from their original position in the pick up bed?

If the spacing between the rail (across the truck) is the same, they should work.

Maybe somebody with a Backflip can chime in....

Where was this a year ago when I spent a good amount of $$$ for this same setup lol. Pretty sure I suggested this. Glad to see it's working out.

What's maximum weight capacity? Are there any competitors that can carry more weight?

I believe @Mobtown Offroad 's hi rise bars are a little stronger, but I haven't seen them in person.

I wouldn't suggest using them with an RTT.

?????? I've reached out to KB Voodoo a couple of times in the past few months with the same exact inquiry ("will this application fit a 2016 Tacoma and if not, are there any plans to manufacture one that does?")and the only answer I got was 'NOPE and NOPE"... Poor customer relation in my opinion.
I don't believe anyone plans to copy "this guy's design".... Just a lost business opportunity.

So there I was cruising down the A7, when it hit...I should do a product review! So Chad has designed an exceptional product that holds up to the rigors of rough travel. I am not going to discuss the issues I have with his first gen set up, well because I chose to go that route (saved some $$$), and when I am home (on US soil) I will upgrade. So lessons learned: the bike mounts are more stable when placed laterally (outside for those anatomically challenged)...they seem to sway less when traveling on the Autobahn at 90+ mph (because I can). The cargo basket is mounted midline, and the only bounce or sway I have noticed with with rough terrain. I have about 150lbs up there with the bike. however I did notice it was a bit unsteady, when my fat ass was sitting in the cargo basket, but that wa sustem for shits and giggles!
