I'll supply a strip of 1/16" thick foam gasket to go under the brackets, and some soft, thicker stuff to go around the top.

That said, a little leakage is probably inevitable.

It is what it, can always go to Home Cheapo and get something thicker or whatever

Interesting! I'm excited to hear about testing. A little leakage is fine, mine already leaks in the corners. I tried something similar with anchoring straps down a couple seasons ago but it ended up letting too much water in. I found that the thickness of the clamps I used plus the thickness of the foam boosted the entire tonneau enough to let moisture pour in, in between the brackets. Figured I'd have to seal the entire perimeter of the tonneau but never got around to actually try it.

If this works out I'm totally in! I've always wanted the combination of tonneau and bars!

I'm guessing this would work with the KB Voodoo cargo basket?

I don't make the one that uses crossbars anymore, but if you have one of the old ones, it will work.

I'll be making another version of the old basket though. This time it won't be quite as big.

Ok. That's not making sense to me. I was thinking of getting option #1 below from your original post in this thread:

So I went and bent my piece of 3/16" metal to test how it will work with my bed cover. My Pace Edwards Switchblade is a retractable cover that attaches to the toyota side rails.
The pieces of metal fit nicely under the bed cover sides and drop down to the toyota rails.
I will be ordering as soon as they are for sale.

Damn right, you gotta have someplace to put those skis.

Prototype pieces being formed tonight. I should have pics later.
