Got mine installed last night. So far I REALLY like them. I was a little slower on the install than some of the others, and I did not hook up the heaters. Install was smooth and straight forward, even taking my time and eating dinner it only took about 90 minutes. I know the chrome look is not for everyone but as a 45 year old red neck I like it :). I also feel like the division between chrome and black breaks up the size a little. Look forward to towing the camper to the race in Bristol in a few weeks and give them a test drive!

    I've got Hankook IPikes. Love'em.

BTW- While driving 40mph down frozen dirt rds; these vibrate less (hardly any) than my factory Tundra towing mirrors.
    Very impressed!

    How day do dat??
    I no no!

I Got part way through the install, have the left mirror on, wires run to the inside of the cab, door buttoned up so I had to check out how the mirror adjustment would work in the up position figuring that there would have to be some relearning as the mirror rotated 90 degrees would respond differently. m Like up would now adjust out... NO they still go the correct direction!!

How day do dat? I no no!

TIP: remove the little white clippy things for the upper triangular trip panel from the door sheet metal by carefully pinching them together with a needle nose, attach them to the trim panel before re-attaching it to the door.

While trying to re-attach the trim panel with the clips still on the sheet metal I ended up punching one through and it was able to evaded a careful search.

I worked with a lot of Omron relays at a previous job, the data sheets dont clearly state it but there should be a number of different options to set it to for example:
*push* Timer starts and closes contacts after set time
*push* opens contact for set period of time
*push* Closes contact for set period of time

Sooo it should work fine but I won't know for sure till it arrives!

Installed the mirrors today. Still have to hook up the led turn signal lights and heater. Took the truck out for a drive and they work well. Have to get used to them being a little longer than stock, almost hit the atm machine

Anyone else notice there blind spots got bigger? I had a FedEx truck disappear in mine. I don't know if its just the change in angle or what. It's almost like they magnify what's behind you.

    Another installation tip:

Silicone spray makes pulling the wires through the rubber door/cab connecting boot much easier and a little over spray helps to reinsert the boot ends into the door and cab.

Undecided about using the lights as turn signals or marker lights. Opinions welcome

mine came in right before i left town, installed them yesterday. makes backing up my trailer much easier.
i have a 2012 w/o factory mirror turn signals, and it was direct plug and play, no extra wiring for the turns.

    Undecided as well.
Wish I could have both (like Tundras, F-250 etc.).

Don't have mine yet but that's the only real concern I had. The change in size is gonna hide plenty, I expect it will make my head wobble when I re-learn my blind spots.

I'm not too sure I got that.... going to have to go through that again to be sure.

I assume there's going to be some stock power mirrors showing up in the marketplace in the near future? Some of us with base models would appreciate it.

Rich, watch that video as many times as you want, I promise that you won't learn a damn thing :)

Also, do you know if the glass is the same between the manual mirrors and the power ones? I have a set of power mirrors I'd sell but I don't have the glass (I do have the backer plate for the glass if they'll swap over)

I dunno man... I think I'm almost there...
I'd rather get something complete. I would imagine the glass is the same, but it's always tricky transferring. I put a set of Muthco signal mirrors in my '03 Tundra and I broke one of the OEM mirrors removing them. That was a nerve-wracking few minutes while popping the new $250 panels in place.
