    Replyed to your PM.

I haven't experienced any of these problems myself. My mirrors have only a very slight but expected vibration considering how much more they stick out. If you guys have any problems please PM me and I will work with you to resolve them.

he can definitely have more than one truck. LOL Mods are at $10084 and going ...
I get a little shake once in awhile due to bumps in the road, but nothing to prevent me from seeing clearly in the mirror. The only fix for this shake, given the Tacoma door quality (flimsy) and the size of mirrors, is to have have them reinforced by a metal or plastic bracket connecting the most outer mirror area with the door at an angle between 35 to 55 degrees, just like the bigger trucks have. That means you have to drill the door in a sturdy reinforced area, few inches below the mirror.

    <<ATENTION>>

In order to eliminate that minor shake when mirrors are deployed vertically I suggest either:

    1. Reinforcing the mirror housing with a folding bracket secured to the mirror's arm. I am talking about the same type of bracket that you see in a folding table leg element. When deployed, the bracket will lock itself and will require a little push to fold back.

    OR

    2. A long threaded plastic / metal rod inserted into the arm at one end and into the mirror housing at the other end, with an adjusting nut in the middle. just like a cable tensioner, only in reverse.

    OR

    3. A piston system placed in the same location as the threaded rod above, just like the ones used by Red Lining for the hood opening

    OR (even better)

    4. A removable bracket that will catch (clip in/on) the upper inner edge of the mirror housing at one end and the mirror arm (closer to door) at the other end. This bracket will be used only when mirrors are deployed vertically requiring no drilling or modification to mirror assembly.

Any of these methods should totally eliminate any shake. Forget about drilling the door as mentioned above; that was an excessive measure.

    <<END ATENTION>>

I get the same little shake once in a while when they are deployed up in the towing configuration; haven't noticed anything with them down. My buddy's Dodge 3500 dually tow mirrors do the same thing, so to me it seems normal and expected. Nothing nearly annoying enough to make me ever consider drilling my doors  to add a bracket.

Okay, I gave you a fair chance, I PM'd you weeks ago and you did not respond!

At this point I think I would not recommend these mirrors to anyone...

The issues do not make them totally unusable but they are nowhere near the quality of the factory mirrors I had on my 2006 Dodge, and that's sad!

Chris, sorry if I missed your PM and I don't pay as attention to this thread as I do to the GB # 2 thread. Of course if you are having a problem with your mirrors you can contact me and I will work with you to resolve the issue. I don't try to hide from anyone, I put my direct phone number right on the 1st page of each GB. I have personally sold over 150 pairs of these mirrors and have always tried to help anyone that has had any issues. Please contact me again so that I can help you!

    Chris,

I just had to get all over Ken on another thread for ripping us a new a$$ and making it public. Maybe I need to start a new thread about how much profit we make on the mirrors after we sell them to you, (15%)

Rob is not to, nor should take any heat for any of this. We sell PLENTY more of these mirrors for much more money in other venues and the reason we sell on here as a group buy is because both me and Rob are Toyota enthusiasts.

When was the last time you went out of your way to take care of 150 people and their pairs of mirrors, to the sale, collect the money, answer the questions, etc....to have someone like yourself kick you in the nads? Take the higher road brother and think twice before pulling a knee jerk reaction like you just did.

Out of the 150 people serviced we have had a couple complainers, I guess that is correct as it proves you cannot please everyone.

Oh and BTW, the Dodge mirror that you posted about being so much better in quality has components made from the same factory....yup....same. The mounting arm and actuator is different. But hey...why dont you go out and design a set of mirrors built from all 100% OEM stuff and try to sell them for a reasonable price? The OEM mirror has a much larger list price, maybe 1000$ for a pair? But wait!!!you cannot mount dodge mirrors to a toyota without them looking strange can you?

Think twice before you post something shallow and ignorant or every person that comes to me about the group buy I will say no, and you can thank Chris and Ken.

    Understand?

Anyone out there with a set of take-off mirrors they'd sell? I just broke the passenger side mirror on my 2012 dark blue TRD.

QUOTE - "So, you are saying that since I had a problem and asked about it, that I kicked him in the nads?
There was no knee jerk reaction; this was over a period of approx. 2 months. Rob, or you could have taken the higher road and actually offered to resolve the issue and following through."

"SO, I'm shallow and ignorant for having issues with your product and attempting to get some resolution. That sucks because I didn't even get to be an asshole yet... This reaction is over the top, considering I made no demands, I just stated my issues and attempted to discuss them with Rob. Great customer service!"

I offered to help you the very 1st time after you posted. You couldn't either have tried PMing me again or actually call me directly? I admitted to missing your message and again offered to help but instead you have not tried to contact me, I have no other PM's or any missed calls from you but instead post on here to try and make me look bad. I am pretty sure that is what he talking about.

Rob, at this point I just want to know what your resolution is. You have seen my posts concerning the issues, so you know what they are, excessive vibration and poor fit and finish. I have even posted pictures concerning the fit and finish issues. I went to PM when you asked me to. I even posted here to advise you when I sent you a PM. There is no ambiguity on what I am claiming the issues are. We didn't need to get to this point. How are you willing to resolve the issue?

I can exchange them or you can return them. There is nothing else that I can do. If you would like to do either of those then just PM or call me and like I have said all along and I will be glad to help you---and your right we didn't need to get to this.
