I am having a hell of a time getting a set of programmable sensors cloned to my factory sensors. Les Schwab my local shop cant read the factory sensors with their equipment? Any one have any luck. I talked to one fella on here that said he was able to get the Schrader Ez sensors cloned. But I have talked to 2 shops, Schrader and Autel and no one has a clue.

Please help! I want to be able to change my winter set to summer myself without having to take truck in!!!

Got a base model SR just like you man and I made one of these pieces of pipe with 2 ends and a valve stem and thru it under my storage bins under my back seats in my access cab and its been in there since February 2015 and works great! Just put some padding in there with my tpms sensors and filled it to 32 psi! Put regular valve stems in my wheels! Cost me about $20 in parts to make one. If your interested pm me and we can talk about me making you one!

I'm in the same boat, Schrader does not list a 2016 and up Tacoma on their website for the easy sensor yet. The programmable sensors were they clone your original ID is the ideal solution. I called American tire and they said they can do it but I haven't made it there yet

This is my gals truck. I dont trust her to check her tire pressure. I want the system to work. (no pipe bombs) But I dont want to take it in to swap winter/summer wheels.

Well it's gonna cost you probably twice a year for someone to remove the tires....

Out of curiosity, is it possible that Toyotas now accept 2 full sets of TPMS transponders?

This is a bit complicated so stay with me here:
I bought AT tires and new wheels, as well as new OEM Toyota sensors because they wouldn't fit.
The dealer programmed them for me and gave me a sheet of paper with both sets of transponder numbers.
I got another set of wheels through a trade, and swapped both the tires and sensors off my OE steelies onto this set (because the steel wheel sensors DID fit these wheels).
I'm moving long distance in a week so I swapped from AT tires set back to the OE Highway tire set.

My TPMS has not started yelling at me even when I drove ~20 miles around town doing errands.

I'd have thought it would have started bitching about a communication error by now, so is it possible both sets are programmed to the truck?!
Or, is it just that my AT tires are sending happy beams to the sensor while I'm parked in the garage next to the stack of tires?

Local Toyota dealership told me the truck can only be programmed to four sensors at a time. And I believe the truck has to be moving for the sensors to read pressure, so I don't think your nearby-stacked tires should be communicating with the truck.

The perfect solution are the Schrader easy sensors , cloned TPMS sensors. They clone the new sensor to your old sensor ID # so you could swap between several sets of wheels and tires anytime you want.

Yes thats the solution I want...if I can only find a shop able to do it. Even Schrader says its impossible till the programmers are updated.

I have 2 sets of wheels. Stock steelies for studs, and a take off set of offroad wheels for summer duty.

I just got an email back from Autel. They say the mx315 ($30 a pop) sensors and the TS401 programmer ($120 on Amazon) would be a diy solution.
Bad news is...I had the tires balanced and mounted them yesterday with no sensors. I had to get the studs off before I wore them out on the bare roads.

Going to drive with the light on till next change over I guess.

How would you put 4 sensors in one spare tire?

Dismount the spare tire remove the original rubber valve stem insert tire pressure monitor, drill three other holes across from each other creating a cross insert the other three sensors remount tire balance operation complete.

Dismount the spare tire leave the valve stem in take the four sensors use a quality duct tape, duct tape them to the inside of the wheel in a pattern to distribute them evenly. Remount the tire balance operation complete.

I want the TPMS to work. I dont get why anyone would not want it to work...pipe bombs and spare tire makes no sense to me. Call me crazy lol.
