    Hummm Subjects to shot. People are hard to shoot.

    My suggestions.
    1st rule of Photography: fill the frame with your subject.
    Male shot is good but crop the room out of the top of the picture to the top of his head. Try it and see if you see what I mean about the effectiveness of the shot.

    Girl: Nice pose! Fill the frame with her or have her looking into the open space in the picture to give the viewers eye somewhere to go instead of just her. try a crop with just her and I think it will be a much stronger shot.

    nice job.

    these are my opinions on your shots and what I would try for in these types of shots. Thanks for posting them. I'm hoping to learn every day and would appreciate critiques, good or bad but constructive, Maybe we can get some if the pro's to chime in as well because for all I know I'm way of base..

    but the second one...it was weird because i wasnt even planning on shooting her... she was just tagging along, so all i brought was my 14-24! lol not the best portrait lens! but i did my best with what i had! and thanks for your critique!
