    Do not fear 3200!
    1/80, 2.8, iso 3200 no noise reduction.

Thanks for the new sites to check out.

Ken may be a tool but he does have some helpful advice/opinions for newbies. It's like everything in life; use or try what you like and leave the rest.

Maybe but not if you want 15 plus shots in a sequence to be tac sharp. Trust me on this one. I am pretty sure the mark 4 has fixed the mark 3 fiasco but sports illustrated switched to nikon for a reason.
Now that said both companies make great cameras, and its the user that really matters.

I'll check that out. I guess I could play with the 18-105 kit lens that came with the D90. It's slow but its a DX so I'm getting the full 18mm.

 no, unfortunately, you arent. Even though it says DX doesnt mean you are getting full range. youre still only getting 27mm at its widest.

yeah, their built amazingly...my buddy has the tokina 10-17...its a SOLID lens

You're right, my bad. I'll get all this straight someday. After shooting film for 30 years I have to get the smaller 1.5 crop effect format of the DX ingrained in my brain. The D90 is my transitional camera from an old Nikon EL, which I'll still run a roll through occasionally.

What software are you using? Photoshop Elements has it's limitations in raw. I've been looking at Lightroom.

yeah the 1.5 crop thing took me a while to get too. lol, i just did a TON of reading on almost every aspect of photography (or every aspect i can think of).

I used to use Photoshop 5, but now i use Lightroom 3 for photo editing, it makes the rest of your photography life 10x's easier!
