Those look really good. Did you make the windows and if so, what material did you use? And howd you attatch the snaps to the door? Just glue or silcone im assuming.

Thanks, yeah made everything. Fabric is from Joanne fabrics store, its some marine grade black vinyl material. Windows were suppose to be marine clear vinyl, but they didn't hold up like jeep soft top windows do. The snaps are 2 parts. One side is crimped on the material window, the other is screwed into the door sheetmetal. In the first pic pre sas you can look closely and see the snaps outlining the door opening.

The ruffstuff chevy kit came in, as always really beefy hardware.

Got the onboard air finished. Works great, also picked up a set of 63s for $30 at the junkyard today.

Started on converting the stock denso a/c compressor over to onboard air.
    IMG_20160609_194845_aa31cc5b0a4fe94812562adc8be6e5495e311703.jpg

Pulled the a/c condensor, drier, and lines out.

    20160621_202049_8dca05f7e61e2acf004d1d09d12d419cd1ac0ed0.jpg

Salvaged the factory lines to help handle the heat coming from the compressor. Low pressure line took a 5/8 to 3/8 barb adapter. High pressure took a 1/2 to 3/8 barb adapter.

    20160621_183902_66bba7f4ecd3cdfa03dc8be9b8567a3ae1891d4a.jpg

Also pulled the passenger side glove box to get to the a/c evaporator to remove it and gain access to the high/low pressure switch.

    20160621_183907_0e42451e585f25ff53b4d711c9616035aaf41afb.jpg

Toyota uses a single switch to measure both the low pressure cut off as well as the high pressure cut off (per fsm)

    20160621_183911_3bdcc05e3fffc7092a2b3bd25a0acfd38fd76404.jpg

Going to cut the connector off and use the two wires to wire in the cut off pressure switch for the air line pressure. 90psi on - 120psi off. This should allow full use of the factory a/c button to turn on the compressor.

    20160621_202132_779766e375f2f057155358f734c736cc0406e1ec.jpg

The rest of the parts I pieced together. (Oil mister, seperator, pressure release valve, check valve, etc.)

Cleaned up the factory lines from the compressor. These are good to keep in order to help with the heat coming from the compressor.
    20160701_154644_a2f510f339e871ba75a407d5fb1fec1a3a4c2c8d.jpg

From there the intake side has a small air filter and then a drip oiler/mister to keep the pump lubricated.
    20160701_154636_6dd9c0b771fc02ecbf4af98c521e9e73bf963ff8.jpg

Output side has roughly 4ft of hose before it enters the oil seperator /regulator.
    20160701_154628_165d7b0a917338ff88d52bb13e81b015845e786a.jpg

From there it goes to the manifold. In order (pressure switch (90 on 120 off) high pressure line with check valve, plug, pressure line for the in dash air guage, quick coupler, then finally high pressure output to the tank.)

Finally the hose terminates at the rear bumper with another quick coupler.

Area behind the dash and glove box where the a/c evaporator was mounted. Also where one of the grommets where used to run the pressure switch wires off the factory a/c pressure switch harness. And to run the line for the pressure guage.

This is the factory end that connects to the original wire harness to run the a/c pressure switch which is now attached at the viair pressure switch on the manifold.

For oiling, these denso units are recommended to run PAG 46 oil.

Since this was wired into the factory harness, enabling the factory a/c automatically kicks up the idle.

Awesome work as always Greg! Very cool and unique mod while taking advantage of a pre-existing system.

Any idea what kind of cfm it outputs at idle? Just curious

Did this real quick off of a Google search using these calculations.

    https://mcguireaircompressors.wordp...nd-out-how-many-cfm-your-compressor-delivers/

At 900 rpm the compressor is putting out 2.55 cfm @ 120psi.

Bumping the throttle to 1800 rpm should effectively double that cfm.

To give an idea, 2.5 gallon tank and roughly 30ft of 3/8 hose takes about 1min 5secs to fill to 120psi at idle.

No real update, just numbers for me to keep for later.

    @1000-1100 rpm to fill a 37x12.50x16 irok
Current psi | Street psi | Time to fill
    Trail: 13 | 35 | 1:45:00
    Flat: 0 | 35 | 4:12:00

---Space saved for @1600rpm once i figure out how to keep it there---

Also hopefully i'll have time to tackle the chevy 63 swap this weekend.

Looks like 7.5in forward of the original spring hanger while keeping the factory rear shackle mount location.

I think mine ended up being close to 9. And I used the factory rear shackle mount as well. But I gave up on the measurements and centered the leaf spring pin with the factory one and then put my hanger based off of that.

Pretty sure mine are 6". May be 5.5" but I remember we cut 6.5 ones and they where way to long and pretty positive we settled on 6".

Finally able to install the Chevy 63 springs.

    Specs:

Front spring mount - 7.75" on center bolt to bolt forward of the factory hanger.

Rear shackle perch - 1.5" on center bolt forward from the stock location.

    Shackle - typical 6"

They also maintain the ability to haul a semi decent amount of weight while staying level.
