Been awhile since an update, decided to pull the trigger on a chevy 63 swap kit. Also a/c had a leak somewhere, didnt feel like chasing it since the half doors are usually always on during the summer. So OBA conversion happening as well.

Could the AC never keep up with the half doors on? Or did you always have it fully open most of the time?

So the A/C could and the Heat still does keep up when its on the floor setting (not too much wind turbulence in that area). But yeah even on full blast it couldn't keep up, just too much wind at 60mph.
With the snap in window on halfway or full it would do surprisingly decent.

Another reason I couldn't live without it besides the cooling is how much it helps defrost! I took my belt off to change the bearing for a few weeks and it sucked in the mornings lol had to constantly use a rag to wipe the window so that I could see. Probably not much of an issue without doors though.

I agree a/c defrost helps a ton. Only run into that now with the regular doors on. Must be because of the no doors, equal temp inside and outside the cab that helps out this time of year.

Nice! Did you cut the pin out and replace it with a quick release type pin? And do you have automatic windows and locks? Just wondering how hard they are to swap.

Nope, actually modified hinge brackets on the factory and half doors. You can notch 1 of the top and 1 bottom hole to slide onto the bolts screwed into the body. Which makes install alot easier.

I do have power windows and locks, there are disconnect plugs right near the door openings behind the kick panels. Easy to remove, after they are unplugged just switch the inside dome light to off and then your set.

Wouldnt mind seeing some pictures of the hinges if you can. That sounds easier than lining up pins.
