Just installed Projector Headlights on my 05 PreRunner. It wasn't that difficult. I learned some things and I could give some pointers for anyone doing this in the future. First, go to Toyota dealer and get the clips for the grille support (2 clips), the headlight supports clips (2) and clips for the bumper cover (3) they are all the same clip and be prepared to spend the $14 or so. Trust me, you will regret not going and getting the clips before you start and while you are there, go ahead and get some 10 amp low profile fuses. They are just over a buck each. Trust me, you are amp to blow at least one during the job. So be prepared. These photo's are as of 1 January 2014 and not the date you see on the photo. Date is "hosed up" on camera.

I'm not really sure. This is the first time I have had anything to do with projector headlights. They are far superior to OEM. For Sure!

Why not reuse the factory clips? I've had mine off a dozen times or more.

There are lots with this same style but different brand. Are they just the generic ebay ones?

When i changed my headlights out i ended up having a bumper cover one break on me, it happens when they get brittle

My Tacoma is an 05, the first year of the 2nd Generation. So my Tacoma is not 8 years old. Most of the clips broke when I removed them.

I didn't remove the bumper cover, the only clips I removed were the ones on the grill, and the ones on the little spacer under the head lights. I did have some to break when I removed my flaps though.

I paid 248 for the black ones, i also installed the matching rear black spyders as well. Pretty affordable to do fronts and backs aftermarket for $500 or less in my opinion. You can get cheapos off ebay that look the same but remember, you get what you pay for.

edit: I had a few questions for you in the silver taco thread, let me know!

I got them off EBaY for $166. I was the only bidder. Watomiracing was the seller. Part Nr. 301045693495.

What type of fog lights are those that you have on the bottom of the bumper?
