    There isn't a single punctuation mark and the spelling is atrocious. Not to mention that he used words that sound the same but are spelled differently and have different meanings.

    Education has gone into a downward spiral.

    He also opens a quote and then never closes it. I think we should all go into that tread and call him a DB, and then leave negative rep in spite.

    There, Their, They're

    Where, Were, We're, Wear...

    Two, To, Too

    Numbers in the middle of letters that are meant to be words. ie: L8ter or g2g

    Complete lack of punctuation.

    ---

    I am an engineer, so english/writing are my worst subjects, and I am one of the worst spellers that I know. But the advent of forums, texting, email and tweeting have brought the demise of spelling, grammer and complete sentences. I am also part of this younger generation, and I grew up with all of these new things that are destroying our langauge, but I still try hard to use it correctly.

    When I text message, I don't abbreviate anything. All my words are spelled out completely and correctly.

    Same here, granted I have a full keyboard on my phone, but it takes me more time to spell it "fast" and wrong then it does to just spell it out completely.

    I always try to use proper English. Being in college, it's important to make sure you do. If not, you look like a complete idiot. Even if you just use slang around friends, you will start to use it more and more. Then it goes unnoticed and you use it when writing a paper (or a company analysis, etc..), which will cause a big deduction in points. In high school, I always used slang and didn't care how I spelled words. But now, I'm very cautious, and I'm always checking behind myself. On an open forum like this or when texting, I still make sure to correctly spell words but still do not always use proper punctuation. I, at least, use a comma to separate sentences instead of just a run-on. :D

    With my new phone every things is spelled out correctly. Having said that, with my old phone that did not have a full keyboard I used "text speak". It was much less frustrating.

    Not sure if anyone said it, but brakes and breaks. Why do people always fix their breaks?

    Glad someone started this thread! Here's my list:

    Your = your truck is awesome
    You're = you are cool

    Their = their website is slow
    There = not here, over there
    They're = they are fast

    Sense = common sense
    Since = since yesterday

    Brake = foot on the brake
    Break = break glass

    Incorrect example:
    Sense your over their, put you're foot on the break.

    Correct example:
    Since you're over there, put your foot on the brake, you dumb ass!:D
