    Deep sand is my primary reason for owning a 4WD. Floatation, not horsepower, is the key. Low range will just make the tires spin and dig in. My suggestion for low range was only if you were already stuck because Crawl only works while in low range.

    H4 with deflated tires will breeze you over sand with ease. The type of sand, humidity, heat, cargo weight, and type of tire determine the correct tire pressure for sand. Never spin the tires as that only moves you down, not ahead.
