    Pros and cons of spacers...

Can someone help me identify why spacers are so hated on. Any research Ive done tells me that pre-loading our springs can lead to premature failure. And most guys (on this site) are suggesting the Bilstein 5100s to level out my front end. As far as I know, the billys pre-load the springs, which is what Im trying to avoid, right...

Any insight, and info would be greatly appreciated!
