Call me a fanboy but I have a hard time believing that he registered 113db by the rear cab window.
Also my wifes highlander also has a skid plate where you have to remove a panel. Easy to do 2 screws. Then have access to oil filter. No need to jack up vehicle. The Tacoma sits higher then her vehicle so I don't see a reason to jack up the vehicle.

My first truck had a shell and it was noisy on the freeway and was prone to echo. But now that I think about it, i had the rear window open often which had direct access to the bed.

Hose to drain oil? Funnel to pour? I'm doing that all that already. And the only reason I don't need an oil filter wrench is because I destroy the old one with Channellocks until it comes off.

And if I didn't have a lift, I may have to jack the truck up to drain the pan as well.

Delusional if you think other teams fans dislike your team and their fans because you won three Superbowls a decade ago and one recently. Oh, it goes MUCH deeper than that, Bandwagon Fan.

looks like that funnel only fits the 2nd gen :( hopefully URD is working
on a funnel for the 3rd gens. Not sure I'll even keep the truck knowing
a friggin funnel has to be used.

Could all of these concerns been addressed prior to purchase with a through test drive/inspection of maintenance items such as oil fill hole and filter location?

Heck and if one isn't sold yet go home sleep on it and go back a few days later.

Edit: When I buy one of these trucks or a 16 t4r, im making them include the filter wrench.

There's anecdotal evidence that the dipstick is difficult to remove. A funnel is the least of our worries.
