Here is the deal, been in this house 30 years in Oct.. Two sheds and 6 closets we cant get into. The old lady is on a cleaning thing, Wants to take 3 truck loads to Sal's and put the rest on the curb. I told her let me think about this for one week. I would like to get mod. money for truck as this S.S.money is a joke. A to Z on the junk from old VW parts to nice clothes. The rods & reels, guns are off the sale list. Ive sold on C.L. its like a you have something you want 100$ for and 6 folks call wanting to give you 10$ not worth the time. Rant is over. Help, pros&cons on flea bay please?? Jim

Just one thing to remember about 'the bay' is that you 'have to use paypal.'

And last i checked their cut was 3% when you withdraw your money (2 years ago). Also, don't set up Paypal to your primary checking account. If you ever have someone call fowl on the transaction, they've been known to freeze accounts. Which means you can't pay your bills that are tied to that account... Set up another checking account or use an old one that doesn't see much action.

^That's the main reason i stopped buying things on eBay, they stopped allowing Money Order's and forced everything through PPal. Not that you still can't work other payment out with the seller... but i digress.

Good luck! (and make sure you post links to your ebay store so us TW's can scoop your sales ;) )

*Edit* Also, i'm with you 100% on the CL loonies low-balling you. I had a dresser/credenza listed for $395 (was worth more but we priced low to move it)... and on first day, i lost count of how many "Really interested people" offered me sub $100! I had some witty email ready to just copy/paste in to the reply. Something about how i'm so very happy they contacted me and i was really considering their offer. Kind of strung them along. I figured, if they're going to waste my time, i'm going to waste theirs too - I kept a few going for about a week after the dresser sold (at full list-price) :)
