Protectant on Composite Bed?

I tried a search but only came up with on thread of people talking about 303 but not specifically for the composite bed. Anyone use anything on theirs? I'm not worried about anything sliding around. I have a rubber mat I can put in it if necessary and I tend to tie everything down anyway.

 

There's no need to put anything on the composite bed.

 

I believe your your good to go and do not need to put anything on it

 

Why would you waste the time?

 

As is ... it's a bed ... wash it out if you need ... spend your money on beer and burgers ...

 

But.......I have seen pic's of the bed with protectant on it, and it does look good.

 

Thanks for the answers guys. I do have other things to spend my money on that's for sure. Just wasn't sure if it withstood the sun and weather OK. Figured since I spend time waxing it...

Hey KB, here's an idea for your bed brackets. "U" shaped brackets that bold on that are the width of a bicycle tire and extend out about 6". One on the front one, facing back and one on the rear one, facing forward. Would hold a bicycle upright for quick transport. Just an idea. Thought I'd throw it out there for you.

 

Mine is almost ten years old and looks basically new. I've never done anything to it.

 

You wax your bed?

 

Mine has a bunch of white scrape marks all over it but other than that no issues

 

Sorry, I guess didn't make that clear enough. No, I was referring to the fact that I wax the truck and it wouldn't take that much more to put something on the bed while I was waxing the truck. That's why I was asking about protectant.

You can get a tonneau cover to protect the bed and keep that clean instead.

bed mat, trifold tonneau on occasion & hose it out once in awhile works for me.

 

I put a bed mat in my 06...and had a canopy. Washed it a few times.
Took the same mat and put it in my 14...put a canopy on too. Probably wash it a few times over the years. Depends on what I spill in it...

 

I understand where you come from op. I've seen shiny black beds they do look pretty nice. Clean look.

 

Bed mat like others said. Did not have mat in 2009 so taped around bolt heads and sprayed with bed liner Looked good
