Anyone here remove the protection film on your Tacoma (the stuff to protect the paint from small rocks, etc.)? The film on my rear wheel well is starting to look bad. I've heard folks using a hair dryer to remove them.....just wondering how tough of a job it is. Last thing I want to do is remove half of it or it tear in small pieces and I have a bigger mess on my hands.

Also, any discoloration of the area after removal?

I've heard of members applying some heat and it comes off with a little patience.

Plan on using a big bucket of elbow grease. I used a combination of WD-40 and GooGone, but it still was a pain in the ass. Heat will definitely help.
