I strongly recommend against bedliner. I had a shop line-x my sliders, and they looked great and provided good traction when used as steps, but they actually started to rust through the bed liner and is now discolored. Also, first time I really used them it tore a strip off and now the bare metal is exposed and it looks crappy. I wish I had painted them so I could just rattle can it to fix them.

When I por 15 mine. I got them blasted. I started with the degreaser then 2 coats of por 15, scuffed with 320 then degreased, 2 coats of por 15, scuffed 320 degreased, 2 coats por 15 top coat, scuffed 320 degreased, Then finally 2 coats of por 15 top coat. Just used a foam brush. I don't think I will ever have to do anything to it again unless it takes some hard hits on rocks. I have used it in rain and it doesn't seem to be that slick.
por 15 is a us company.

I had mine line-x 16mts ago, no issues. Mine were sandblasted, then sealed, then sprayed.

Nope, that's exactly what I did. I didn't get it powdercoated because it's armor...supposed to take hits.

por15 isn't UV stable though so it can fade and crack when exposed to direct sunlight. I sanded lightly, used self etching primer and rattle canned it black after the por15.

if you're actually planning on wheeling, it doesn't matter what you use lol.

At the end of the day it will damage. Just get whatever's easily available and can be fixed.
Mine are coated in the rattle can bed liner stuff. Offers some grip for the top for getting in. Stands up to some abuse. Still missing a bunch from when I was sliding over rocks though.

Just touch it up as needed if you actually plan on wheeling.
    Otherwise maybe try powdercoating?

It may sound dumb, but why not just plasti dip it and just reapply as needed? Has anyone tried this?

Yeah, my plan as of now is to get the front bumper powdercoated and get the sliders rattle canned. Obviously the skid's don't need anything lol

Yes, that is very dumb. Plastidip doesn't flake away like paint, it will tear and hang off. With the amount of money you'd spend on plasti dip you'd be better off powdercoating them

That's what the por 15 top coat that my last 4 coats is for keeping it uv stable. The por 15 top coat is going to be tougher than rattle can.

I actually just painted a set of sliders last night for my Taco. Pretty much used exactly what this link says. Reason I painted mine is because A) I'm cheap. B) I want to be able to touch up my sliders when they inevitably end up smashing in to things.

    Exactly.

If you are actually going to use your sliders the way they were intended, this is the only way to do it. Powder coating is is too difficult and expensive to touch up
