Any1 ever used OEM/Stock grille but put mesh in all the inserts. I am thinking about doing this to mine. I like Satoshi's and I love the OEM grille so I came up with this. Just copied and pasted some mesh in microsoft paint (yeah I'm old school, no photoshop) on my truck.

If any1 has done this please post pics.

Might want to try a silver or aluminum color on your test pic to see it you like it better with some contrast.

But with the blacked out emblem and lower bumper, black might be better. Sounds like a good mod if you really want to be able to take it back to stock easily.

I like the satoshi for the fact that it is less air restriction from stock. If you just put mesh behind the regular grill, it's more restriction... It therefor becomes entirely just for looks, which is lame... just my opinion. It doesn't look bad at all though, but it's the same thing as a non-fuctional hood scoop in my opinion.

HOWEVER, cutting out the holes next to the grill and meshing those, I can dig that.

I wouldn't do it to mine. Something just don't look right.
Awesome truck by the way, I really love the silver.

I like it enough that I'd strongly consider doing mine.

I'd like to compare what you have here with one where the mesh is silver and the grill is black and then the whole mesh/grill are silver. Gonna hafta go home and play around with MS paint myself. Something different... good idea!

I was actually staring at the grill the other night thinking about mesh behind the grill that matched the mesh on the side pieces next to the grill. and behind the lower grill too. IMO, more protection for the fins on the radiator and evaporator core for the AC wouldn't be a bad thing either......

    +12

looks good, but i think the satoshi is a better way to do it. super creative, +1
but it looks as if it is going to be more restrictive, and a bug catcher, as what the others have said. great idea though.

Have to fab something up still contemplating if i'm going to do it or not. If I decide to proceed I'll worry about design aspects then
