Congrats! That is exactly what I am hoping to find on the lot when I get home. I started out with white on top off the list but that MGM has been growing on me the more I look on TW. Even got the M/T, very nice and congrats again.

Awesome move with the MT. I'd say more than the majority of MT owners on here enjoy their trucks more so than the majority of AT.

    Nice looking truck!
    GAP coverage for $1000 tho...
Did you buy that through the dealer or from the bank that finanaced it?

I've got about 80 miles logged in 4wd low this year over many trips. The girls a beast and the a-trac work wonders. The locker is nice, but a-trac is where it's at.

I'm embarrassed to say I don't know. It was when I was filling out the financing paperwork through BofA, but I don't know if it was the bank or the dealership that I actually bought it from. I've actually used GAP before, so I jumped on it as soon as he mentioned it, without paying close attention to who it was through.

As soon as I got it home I took my 18 year old daughter out for a spin (she drives M/T as well), and we found some off road places close to home. After going up one particularly steep slope in 4WD low she said, "This thing is a tank".:amen:

Same. On a motorcycle. Hit an oil patch, broke my back and dislocated my hip. Worth every penny.

My wife and I agree that the first modding that has to happen is the grill being painted. As soon as she saw the truck at the dealership she said, "When we get home this bling grill has to go...can you have it done within 24 hours?" My plan is to keep the outer circle and Toyota emblem silver, and paint the rest black. But I'm debating on doing it myself or not. I might take it to an auto body shop and see how much they'd charge before making my decision.

A bed rack and RTT are the next mods on the list (aside from more aggressive tires...leaning towards the BF Goodrich all terrains; a buddy at work has them and they look great). The RTT will likely be Tapui, since like I said, I work a couple miles from them, so no shipping needed. The rack I'm looking at is the CBI, but I'm still keeping an open mind. My biggest requirement is that it be aluminum. Next on the list would probably be a replacement front bumper, also aluminum. These mods will likely take at least a year or two due to budget, but that's my order so far.

Yep, mine was as well. I've totaled two BWM R1200GS's. One off-roading when I hit a deep rut. The second was a year ago September when I hit pea gravel in Idaho on a corner at 70 MPH. I was lucky to walk away from that one; I slid 100' down the road after rolling the bike and coming to a stop against a concrete bridge barrier (actually rode the totaled bike 190 miles to Missoula, where I waited for two days to hear from insurance, and then 200 more miles to Spokane, it's final resting place). Sorry to hear about your broken back and dislocated hip, I'm glad you're still here with us! It hasn't stopped me from riding...my daily driver is still an R1200GS.

For what it's worth, I think my Voodoo bed rack was worth every penny.

Hey, you know how it's. If you ride, you ride. My r6 only slid 20 feet. Me, I went off a mtn. These days this is my trusty steed. The r6 still runs strong though

    Very nice!

Here's my bike on the 93, in Idaho (that's one of my riding buddies standing next to it, not me):

Here's my current commuter. I took this glamor shot on a recent trip to British Columbia. (Trivial fun fact for any fans of the Battlestar Galactica TV series, this shot was taken right outside the government building on the "Cloud 9" spaceship):

BSG fan here! Nice bike! Never ridden a BMW (Kawasaki, Harley, Honda) but I've always heard good things about them.

    P.S. And truck!

    Thanks Jonas!

I'm a self-admitted, full fledged geek. A big part of my BC ride at the beginning of summer was to see BSG filming locations on Vancouver Island and on the mainland. Here are two scenes you'll recognize, I took both at Simon Fraser University, in Vancouver. I happened to be there on graduation day...I'd initially been worried that I'd look odd walking around a university with a Canon DSLR, but I shouldn't have been in fear; I had the smallest camera there since it was graduation.

My bike is parked almost exactly where Starbuck found the crashed Cylon raider on "nuked Caprica", and this is the building she went in to find the golden arrow thing:

And this is the outdoor mall where Gaius Baltar and Number 6 first meet (those are all classrooms in real life). It's also the pond and rock that Laura Roslin walks into and sits on when she finds out she has cancer:

    Yes, I'm a nerd. :D

I forgot to mention, I looked at the Voodoo bed rack, but it won't work for me. Our two dog crates sit fairly tall, so it limits my bed rack options...I need it tall enough to fit the crates under, but still shorter than the roof of the cab.

I knew I would be getting GAP going in, as I had less than $5000 going toward down payment. It only was $125 through the credit union I finanaced with which was a big relief. I'm sure it varies based on trim, options, location etc.
Looks like a good plan for mods, enjoy the truck!
