Ya it should be great up there and decent weather for sure. Even up by the snow it should be nice. I should be up there around 11:30 Friday morning.

If you just get an FRS radio we will be able to communicate to those with our HAM radios.

Nope... CB is a different band. 11 meters our radios operate on 2meters and 70cm. FRS operates in the 70cm band as well just above the ham frequencies. so with our radios modified we can communicate on them. Since FRS doesnt require a license you guys can use it to. The little motorola talk about type radios are FRS.

But, You guys should still get your ham licenses.... :) we will have to show you the superiority over CB. With a smaller antenna we can communicate WAY further than CB and with a repeater we can talk around the world.

I'm stoked for this camping trip since I need some major R&R. I'll have my FRS, what channel will you guys be on?

X2 on Galen's interest on the Ham license. I want to get one as well.

I would get a ham but all of my friends are on cb and not one has a ham radio so I don't think i would be able to convince them all to switch over.
