    I told Steven I'd take him on some fun (level 1 IMO) trails up at Carson Pass this summer (late summer with the quantity of snow...shoot it may even be September!). A prerunner should be able to make it up to Crater Lake easily and the Mine (Road forks to go to each separately. The road to the mine crosses a little creek and then the road kind of becomes a creek due to snowmelt but it's all rock.). Great view from the mine looking down on Hope Valley.
