Let us not forget OP has 35’s which put additional strain on the steering rack compared to stock.

Could be a complete shot in the dark...

Came to me when I was taking apart a wiring harness under the truck and water poured out....

Water gets in boots, (not that Toyota has water ingress problems ever)
corrodes the nice polished cylinder, (Toyota would never have rust issues)
    crap stays in damaged area,
fancy ATF fluid has extra ingredients vs plain PS fluid,
extra ingredients are cleaners and chems to dissolve rust.
fancy ATF is probably also a lighter viscosity than plain PS/DEX III
    boom leak.

But since your truck is mostly at the mall, it shouldn't have been exposed to water or any mud to cause that....

It'll be hard to tell how much your rack is still leaking until you pull the boot off. See if it looks like any water/crap got in there too.

Seal may not be toast may just be a little nick on the cylinder that only drips at one point in the turn.

Didn't have issues before filling up with ATF, no fluid was leaking or getting low before changing to ATF.

That's some tin foil theory you got here, sure Toyota though about corrosion and how to prevent well in advance

Rack is a goner, stop-a-leak doesn't stop it, I am looking to get tundra rack asap now :spending:
