How many channels are you wanting to run? Active or passive? Dsp?

 

I usually run a 5 channel amp, components up front. Then some Coaxials in the rear with 1 or 2 subs behind the rear seats. Never did any Digital Signal Processing?

 

I will most likely run the JL Audio HD/900

I was about to link the JL VXI800/8 and say bridge it to 4 channels for 150wrms and have the built in dsp all in one then get a mono block JL or audio control for sub amp since it doesn’t necessarily need processing although it’s nice to have processing for it too

 

I would definitely go active if you’re going to get K2s but that’s just my opinion. Do away with the passives or run them for extra protection if want to. You could achieve that with a Kenwood head unit and the JL HD 900/5 and just use the Kenwood as your dsp processing

I don’t mind helping out at all man. I asked millions of questions on here and was lucky enough to get help from some of the audio gurus we have on TW

 

I’m just running a JL 8w3v3 microsub. It’s plenty for this truck most of the time. At times I wish I had the double microsub with the two 8s though. You could power the two 8s comfortably with the 900/5 and feed them 250 each. Im feeding my one 300 from the 600/4 with 2 channels bridged to it

 

Would you rather a 4 channel, and a mono? Or a all in one 5 channel?

Depends. I’d do a JL 600/4 and a mono if money wasn’t a question. The 900/5 is about as good as it gets for a 5 channel though
