PS4 issues

Don't know if this is the right place to put this but maybe someone can help. The PS4 has it's current update. But every time I turn it on this is what appears on the screen.

 

mine did that when I swapped hard drives, it needed a fresh instal of the OS

 

And then when that is done it asks us to connect one of our DualShock controllers with a USB cable. We do and we get a message of use a 3.00 or higher USB cable. We are using the PS4 USB cable we have always used to set up the new controllers. It goes through this process about 4 times before it will ask us if we want to report the problem. We report it and the PS4 starts to work normally. And Guru's on here that can help.

 

Only thing we have done lately is add 2 new OEM PS4 controllers and about 2 weeks later this is what happens every time.

 

When I bought the white destiny model last year I pulled the drive that was fine out of my original black PS4 and figured it was plug and play, Same issues as your having but it made me re image the firmware to proceed. took 3 hours to fix..

what do the PS4 forums say?

Mine only does that if the power goes out , you don't have it on a power bar that gets switched off or a switched plug do you ?

 

It is on a big Monster Power surge protector. And that never goes off. It doesn't seem to happen if the boys put it in rest mode, only if it is completely turned off

Yes very confusing. Should I make sure they just put it in rest mode, and see if it still persists?

 

PS4 latest update gives PLUS users 10GB of Cloud Storage.... thats probably what the system is checking.

i have not updated mine yet so I really dunno... thats just a guess

 

But every time I turn it on. This does not make sense.

 

9/10 ps4 users are already plus members considering everything online related requires the fee, so that wouldn't be the case.

 

I don't think it has anything to do with the cloud storage , that screen is it checking to make sure nothing has been corrupted from an unexpected power down

 

Seems like it's in a corrupt state, was it ever turned off while the HDD was in the save/load process?
