Okay, you win, go have your PS4 masturbatory session now :D. Honestly if I had of bought more stuff for the PS4 at release I might be more into it, but the triggers didn't make me happy so that was a game over. I think a person could buy either and never have a single compliant that doesn't apply to the other.

@Sacrifice did they ever fix it so you could manually control the controller colour on the PS4. That is one little feature that I thought they should add. It'd be nice to set your profiles colour and have the controller always display that so you always knew which controller was yours.

Also, is the PS4 going to answer the Elite controller? That shit is badass for a from factory controller. I think even you can admit that's the king of controllers right now.

i couldnt say. im the only user on my ps4 so it doesnt matter to me. although i think they light up different colors when two or more are logged on.

looks like a cool competitive controller but i wouldnt spend the $150 for one.

I'm not spending the $150 either, but boxing day I bet you they drop into the low 100's. XBox wants to get them out there. I just like that finally a first party manufacturer is building competition controllers that won't get you banned lol.

i dont play competitively so not a big deal to me (last thing i played competitively was H2 and H3). but there is something to say that keeping everyone on the same level with a normal entry controller is still competitive. now it could cause a gap there.

There's always been a gap. When I had a 4:1 K/D on MW and Black Ops I was playing with a $200 mod controller. Now the gap is even for anyone who wants to buy in.

Yup, when my mod controller broke after 4 months due to shoddy solder I went right back to an old faithful stock controller. Having something with stock build quality and the mod features is very intriguing to me though and, if the price is right, I'll buy in. Plus controllers are about the easiest things to resell to a store for good value if you need too.

maybe at $100. still pricy though..

so switching conversations, as far as monitors/tvs what does everyone suggest. no larger than a 32", 1080p (pretty standard now), refresh rates?, something somewhat mobile would be nice

I run a 42" LG 4K as I said. I got it for what would be less than $400 USD because I was lucky on boxing day. If you check out the deals every week eventually a 4K will come up that is the same price as the 1080p TV's you are looking at and then why no go up in resolution? The TV is about an 1" in depth and weighs so little that I put a small sand bag on the stand so the cats don't knock it over. At 42" it's about perfect for the ~6 feet my couch is away from the screen for me to see every detail but not lose sight of shit happening in the corners.

I'd suggest going with 120 Hz. 240 Hz is smoother but I have one upstairs and sometimes it almost feels too smooth and that makes the image seem cheap IMHO.

Go LED, no point in wasting your time with straight LCD's in this day and age.

I always buy LG, Samsung, or Sony. I used to buy Sharp when they were top dog when LED's were fairly new but I wouldn't be eager to touch their newer stuff. Honestly, check CR if you want to really break down each company but if you stick with the main brands you can't go wrong.

Also, if you will be using it as your main TV, it's not a bad idea to have the store or an independent A/V guy come in and calibrate you're TV. If you're moving it around alot, which it sounds like you might, it's probably not worth it but for the average person a well tuned picture to the room it's in can make any TV look better than a top end Samsung. Make sure one's it's setup that you have the guy write down the settings so if you lose them in a reflash or update you don't have to pay for him to come back.

Yeah I do plan on playing on the 60. I know a buddy had a 42" in college and it was a little overwhelming. I think like with anything it will just take some getting used to. I have a much smaller distance from my couch to the TV now as well which will expand the effect ~10ft. At first it will be overwhelming, but I'll come to love the detail and scale I'm sure.

How close are you? Under 5 feet on a 60" you'll lose the corners in my experience. When I first got my 60" upstairs I used to sit right in front of it and I had trouble in games I never did before. I moved back to the couch 10 feet away and, bingo, problem solved.

itll be a dedicated console game player/maybe my pc occasionally which i dont game on so 4k isnt a priority for me at the price nor does the ps4 output natively in it. so 1080p would save me money and be the most useful i can use. i like small screens, i sit probably 3-4ft away. dont like sitting any further back, i tend to lose movement on screens.

good luck, i suck at those big screens

 No problems then. My brother would always flip out playing BF because he was 4 feet away from a 5" screen in his closet of a man cave. He'd miss so much at that range but he refused to believe it was the TV being too big. It's funny too because his wife had a 40" in their bedroom he could of swapped out but he refused to even try the idea lol.

Have you considered then going to a large PC monitor with a super low delay and just running an optical cable to a soundbar for sound? I know several people who do this and have saved money going that route. If you want the best for gaming you want a low response time, and PC displays are often hard to beat in that department. You will lose your TV tuner though....
