So I bought a PS4 Pro on release date because... why not? The extra storage and higher power paired with a 34" Ultrawide 4K monitor makes for a pretty amazing set up. Games that take advantage of 4K (CoD, Titanfall 2) look unbelievable in 4K. Destiny plays smoother during the Raid with no framerate drops. I'm interested in the Xbox next year to see what advantages it has. Might pick one up if the game catalogue is big enough.

Speaking of Titanfall 2. I was actually going to pick up a Xbox because of Titanfall 2. I bought the Xbox 1 specifically for Titanfall but the game ended up sucking so bad that I sold it. But then I found out that it was being released on the PS4. I'll give Respawn credit for listening to their community and making the changes that were asked. The game is so much better now and I'm loving it. The multiplayer is a blast and even though I rarely play a campaign or single player mode of a game the campaign is actually top notch. Highly recommended. It's a shame that they released it around the same time as BF1 and CoD as some of the hype is being drowned out by those two games but it deserves a spot on your list if you enjoy FPS and a great campaign.

I loved Titanfall 1. I had hoped Titanfall 2 would of been as good but it's not. The game play is good, graphics are good, but they ruined the titans but no allowing users to customize them. The fact each titan has a specific gun and cannot be changed ruins it. On top of that taking down titans isn't as fun as it used to be.

I will give them credit, the campaign was one of the better FPS campaign's out there.

I think the thing I didn't like about Titanfall 1 (at least when I played it) was you started off with one of the best weapons in the game with nothing really to work for. I remember playing the Beta and absolutely loving it even though it was only two maps and 2 game modes. But within a couple weeks I was completely bored with it. I didn't play long enough for any expansions so I can't "personally" speak if it got better. I just know that I got bored with it really quick.

I will admit that I am playing the game wrong though. I only play Pilots vs Pilots and every once in awhile Attrition so the Titan combat really isn't that important to me. So yeah, that's a stupid way to play a game that is centered around Titans huh lol? But the thing that I do enjoy is the fluidity of the game, the way the game controls, wall running, sliding, and all the ways you can customize your character. It doesn't hurt that I'm holding a 3.3K/D lifetime average and I'm trying to decide if I want to regenerate. I just got the black skin for my G2A and so far that is "my" personal favorite weapon in the game even though it is a semi-auto. The A-Wall combined with Sentry Guns is stupid OP.

I'm considering getting a PS4 Pro too but I don't have a 4K tv , would like the added HP and storage though

Games might run a little smoother and look a "little" bit better on a 1080P monitor. Since you play mostly single player games I'm not sure you would get the full benefit out of a Pro or not. If you decided on a 4K monitor then I would say most definitely yes as 4K games look amazing.

One other thing that I forgot to mention with the Pro is that you can save games at 4K resolution. Not sure how useful that is to you but we post a lot of our games to youtube. The PS4 will only output saved games to 720P. This is from us fumbling around and beating a flawless team in Trials (my snipes were shit BTW) output to 1080P instead of the usual 720P.

I still can't enjoy the last of us. I find it hard to be immersed in the game and that it is super linear.

I picked up skyrim remastered last week though. I love that game.

Really? The Last of Us is probably one of my favorite games of all time? Well that and Ocarina of Time (showing my age there). The Last of Us was an emotional rollercoaster. I do agree about Skyrim. I love that game.

Yea, which is disappointing to me cause I really want to see what the game is about. I just can't play it for more than ten minutes without being bored.

Ocarina of time was great. I still have majoras mask on my n64 as well.

I added a couple of mods to skyrim this time. Realistic water, 10k merchants and a larger carrying weight. Nothing game breaking

Finally picked up a ps4 on shit show friday(ordered online from the comfort of my boxers cause fuck going shopping in that shit). Got delivered last Tuesday, so had it almost a week. Don't really have time to play much anymore with adulting/ a toddler + infant. But dropped cable about 6 months ago since fios was costing ~$250/ mo for 30099192847758493002 channels when we only maybe watch 10 of them. Tried out ps vue and have been running it on my OG ps3 from 08 which still works perfectly well 98% of the time. Pretty incredible seeing as I've got 1000s of hours on the damn thing at this point.

Wish you could transfer save data between them as I had 200+ hours on skyrim and would have liked to transfer over characters. O well. Picked up battlefield 1 and skyrim remastered. Both are awesome in the limited time I've played them. Hoping the ps4 lasts as long as my ps3 which is now running vue in the bedroom.instead of the slow ass Fire stick we had up there before.

I dropped Dish early this year and switched to Apple TV so I understand what you're talking about with all the channels that we never watched but paid $230 a month for. Now the only channels I actually pay for is Showtime, HBO, and CBS for my wife to watch The Big Bang Theory (I fucking hate that show but whatever). So it costs me less than $30 a month for TV and we only have the channels we actually watch loaded. We have fiber optic ran into the house so we have unreal internet so our speed never suffers even with everything in the house being on WiFi with the exception of my PS4 which is connect LAN.

I got a pro on release day. I've wanted a PS4 for a while so I just waited for the Pro. Upgraded TV is next. Waiting for SB weekend. Wanna get the VR setup too.

Exactly. We actually get the local CBS affiliate in our area on vue. Don't really mind not.having the others as everything is on demand, so you just have to wait a few days to watch network shows on demand. Have hbo now and use a friends netflix account (who uses my hbo now). Wish we got the local nbc affiliate as the wife likes the today show, so we have an hd antenna.

We still have fios internet 75/75 but that's only $50/ month. PS4 ia hardwired and PS3 is running wifi.

Yep. We bought 4 new gen Apple TV's with the 32GB HD's (even though we never really store anything on them). I've got Amazon Prime so I get The Grand Tour. Tried Netflix but wasn't too impressed. What really did impress me was Smithsonian channel is free on Apple TV. We couldn't even get it on Dish and before Dish we had ATT Uverse and had to pay an extra $15 for the package that included Smithsonian along with a bunch of channels I never watched.

Glad I'm not the only one! I did like the last of us but I just don't see why everyone raves about it. I played it once and haven't had a desire to go back to it.

But...when the last of us two come out I might finally pick up a PS4.

I'm more of an open world game fan but I thought The Last of Us was pretty awesome
