Depends... It took a toll on me as linked in my sig. It is very hard work and you see a lot of things that no one should ever have to bare witness to. Some things you can't un-see and after so many years of seeing death and destruction it wears on you quite a bit. I'll never complain about the money they paid us but you will work for it.

Ya I read your thread a while back. Don't think I could do all that shit. Good on you though, enjoy your retirement. I've still got another 30-40 years ahead of me until I can retire :bananadead:

@OZ-T What do you think of Shadow of War? So far all the reviews I've seen says the game is pretty convoluted with the skill progression. The fighting looks really good but I'm not sure I want to spend the money on it right now. I love Tolkien but it seems to stray pretty far from the original story line.

    @OZ-T

Okay... So I bought it and I like the combat system. I'm still in the very first section. Does it get better as you go along? As good as the combat feels (and it feels good to take down a captain) it's pretty repetitive right now. Realizing that I haven't hit the nemesis system yet, does it get better?

As you unlock skill points more combat moves become available to you , I'm really enjoying it , I'm Level 15 right now but have not advanced too far in the story , I've been doing side missions and building up my XP , skills and weapons

Yeah, I'm only level 5 at the moment. I do like the depth of the skill tree as it looks endless. Only been killed once but if I see I'm not going to win against a captain that is clearly higher level than I am I'll run like a little girl lol. It is satisfying taking down a captain that starts to flee. Still curious about the loot system and how it works and keeps you motivated to play.

I run away a lot , you gotta get intel on Captains and use their weaknesses against them , I've been picking off treasure orcs (white ones in wraith vision) and forging new gems for all my weapon and armour slots , I have the second highest tier gems on all my gear and over 15000 mirian

Well crap. Just got the new Assassin's Creed (it is good), want the new CoD, and now I want this. And the new Wolfenstein.

I eventually learned to run away in the first one after I died a lot. Sometimes you would accidentally encounter an unexpected captain. OZ, sounds like you have a good strategy, may follow your lead.

That Last of Us trailer looks interesting. Dark and disturbing.

does the new AC get as repetitive as the last ones? trailers for it look fun.

what have they added new to the game? anything?

Looks fucking brutal. If it's anywhere as good as the first one then it is a system seller.

AC IMO has run it's course. This one got subpar reviews.

As Britt says, it got some subpar reviews, but those seemed to be focused on some technical glitches. I have run into a few minor things. I got really bored with the last one in London (I think that was the last one) due to how repetitive it felt.

The environment is much more open and feels larger (the desert), and new is your horse or camel for getting around the desert quickly, and your falcon for providing a birds-eye view and spotting targets. The map looks huge, and I am too weak to venture into some new areas that I discovered. I was quickly torn apart by enemies and/or wildlife. Weapons, skill tree and crafting are all just tweaked, nothing crazy there (although they have the blue/purple/gold levels like Destiny). Completing things in many locations seems to be pretty quick (loot a couple if items, maybe kill a captain or 2), but does seem like it might get repetitive over time. Missions so far are interesting with some variety so far, we'll see if that keeps up. I am only 6-8 hours in, doing every side quest.

The locations/map is well done and historically interesting, as always. I think the time period is better than old London -- I liked the first one probably the best, with the Ezio ones coming in second. Black Flag I just put in a completely different category, it was cool for other reasons, maybe my favorite of all but not the typical AC formula.

Anyway, there's other good options, but I don't think it is terrible.

Gran Turismo Sport is the shit. Took the Ferrari 458 Itaila GT3 around the Nurburgring Nordschleife with no mods in stock form just to see what it was like.

First video is the custom paint that I put on it.

The second one is in action around the Nurburgring

A few weeks ago. I really like how they've done this one. It is focused more for online racing and you get a safety rating after each race. The cleaner you race the better your rating which means that you will be put into groups of racers that race cleanly which is unheard of in a video game. There are daily races that come up every 20 mins and you have to qualify for them by putting your best time on the track being raced. You are placed on the grid by the time you post. Most races last 10 laps though some go longer so you have to pit and use strategy so it's like a real race. I've never owned a racing game where people actually give you the line if you have the run on them on the inside and not just run you off the track. Well made game. That said... don't expect a lot out of the single player experience. All it's there for is to get you ready to race online. It's actually sponsored by the FIA which is pretty cool and they have events each week to compete in.
