You'll like it if you haven't played it (for a little while). You have a month to play around in it and by then the expansion will drop.

I bought the new cod because that was the main reason for buying PS4. And I ended up wanting the pro and didn't want the Star Wars logos on that bundle so went destiny. Played the new cod for a few matches and it's actually exactly what I was looking for. It's by no means like the old ones in terms of quality, but I wanted a relatively basic "realistic" (not overwatch style) shooter and so far I'm happy with it.

I’m looking at finally upgrading from my 360 where I’m still playing MW3 every now and then. I’m not buying the new One X, so it’s between the One S and PS4. I’m leaning towards PS4 since they have The Show and Cod/BF are on both consoles. Any other reason to go with PS4 or Xbox?

PS4 has most of the most of the console exclusive games that are actually good. The only good game the Xbox will have for a while is Forza 7 and some other crappy arcade games. I haven't touched my S since March.

PS4. The only reason I ever bought an xbone was because all my coworkers/friends had it.

Best Buy has the 1TB PS4 on sale for $199 so I might scoop one up or try and find a good bundle

I traded it in. Too repetitive to me. Just couldn't get into it.

    Yeah.
Apparently Nintendo is kicking some ass. My daughter loves her Switch. She better, it was a PITA to get.

One of the daily races that comes up every 20 mins. I've never played a racing game where people actually try to avoid crashing into you at every turn. Best online racing game I've found so far. They give you a warm up lap before each race to get you settled in, then it's time to race. Set a time that was good enough for third on the grid and made a pass on the last lap to win. Really cool game.

I had HUGE hopes for GT sport. I am going to wait until it goes down in price before I pick it up though. The demo just didn't do it for me, but I love the franchise.

If you're looking for the single player game that the franchise is known for... it's not here. There is a single player game but all it's teaching you is "how" to race cleanly. The draw of this game is the online racing which is sanctioned by the FIA which I think is cool. Qualified third in the championships last night so we'll see how that goes. The online racing is a lot of fun. Most fun in any racing game I've ever played since you don't have to deal with everyone crashing into you at the first corner. Each person has a "safety" rating next to their name and you get matched up with others that have the same or higher safety rating. That is something you want to protect so you "can" race in the championships. Well done system.

How is the vehicle manipulation system in terms of modification? Also, how about money accumulation? Does it feel like a grind or is it pretty linear? I like the cool cars, but I also want to feel like I earned them too.

You can customize the vehicles anyway you like. But in sanctioned races they are set to make an even playing field. Races are set up into classes and you can race whatever car you want out of that class. But as far as changing tire compounds, engine power adjustments, suspension adjustments, etc... that is set up by the race itself. If you create an unsanctioned lobby you can do whatever you want. The only thing you can adjust in sanctioned races is your paint and the race will make the rest of the changes to your vehicle before the race.
I like this system since it makes you have to have skill and not just rely on the mods you’ve put on your car.

Money comes fast in the game. If you pick up a copy make sure to get the copy in the steel case (it’s the same price) and you get 1,000,000 credits right off the bat. And yes, you earn cars by doing many different things in game along with buying what you want. Hell, I spend half my time painting and customizing the look of cars.

Sounds pretty cool. I saw a quick review from a F1 (game) youtube channel and he seemed to like it. I was in a league for a bit when GT5 was first out. Wasn't a serious league or anything but raced once a week just for fun. Was a bit annoying having to make sure everyones car only had the approved mods and stuff. Thankfully since it was just for fun nobody really tried to cheat. The only bummer sort of thing was everyone was on way different skill levels. A couple guys were always racing for first, a couple in the middle, and a couple were lucky to finish lol.

I was in a league a very long time ago but we were never serious as there really was nothing to be serious about. Now with this game, since the FIA is officiating over it in the competitive arena it makes it much more fun to race. I love the start up for a race. It tells you where you will be racing, when the entry time is, when qualifying time is, a warm up lap, and then a rolling start. You know what class you will be using and you can use any car you own out of that class. If you have made adjustments to your vehicle they will be reset (for that race only). They tell you what type of tire compound you will be using and how many laps the race will take. So all in all... Joining a sanctioned race may take upwards of 20 mins but the build up is much like a race day on a weekend and how it would actually work so it's a really cool system. I'm not too concerned about winning (of course I want to win) as I am about my safety rating. The higher the rating the better players you will race against. If you notice in the video posted earlier that there was little to no contact and I knew I made a bad line on one part and instead of cutting the other guy off I let him by since he had the run and the line on me. You don't get that type of action in any racing game that I'm aware of outside of the PC realm.

So if you're not too concerned about a single player experience other than creating cool paint jobs for your car, changing the wheels, tires, and tweaking your power, then this might be the game for you. It's by far the best online racing game I've played without worry that it is just going to turn into a demolition derby.

And I can spend all day bombing around the Nurburgring trying to best my last time. The Nurburgring is (obviously) my favorite track to play on since it is by far the most demanding track ever created.
