I will say, if the thing that was "spoiled" earlier is what set you off on this game....that's pretty weak..

They created some of the best games ever. TLoU was by far the best game I've ever played. But fuck Neil Druckmann and his bullshit mentality for how this plays out. And fuck him for how he handled things after the leaks came out. I understand why he would be pissed but I'm not so sure that some of it was because the game is so fucking divisive that he wanted the money. Once the leaks were out, he knew that there would be many that wouldn't buy the game because of the direction they took. Then to add insult to injury, the way that Naughty Dog handled everything after? They are now the most hated game studio in existence and it's damn hard to beat out Activision or EA for that title. But they were able to do it in about a week. Fuck Naughty Dog.

 

Nah... that's just one of the things. I do hate how that was handled tough. completely fucking stupid.

obviously I have yet to uncover the root cause of the situation that occurred, but I thought it was well done. brutal, sad, tough....the LoU way. I mean, what was expected?

that's really my biggest deal with the "bad reviews/opinions"....why tf did anybody create in their head an expectation of what they wanted/thought would happen? thankfully for me, it's all a surprise.

 

No shit... contrived as fuck. You actually felt something in the first game when Sara dies in Joel's arms. I had to play it twice to make sure that I didn't do something wrong. That is the very first time that a video game has ever made me feel emotion. And it didn't get any better throughout the game.

This seems written in just for shock value. No emotion whatsoever.

 

It's not what happened... It's how it happened and by who. Fucking lazy...

 

I thought the "how" was pretty great. Still uncovering the "who" so can't speak to that..

 

Nothing about the how interested me. Purely for shock value and nothing else. The who is even less interesting IMO. Like @coopcooper Lazy fucking writing.

I agree on the "who" and the "why" and you will understand why later on but what I couldn't understand was how they did it.

Ok I’m pretty far into the story now I do believe. I obviously don’t know how long the game is though. But I have not found a single thing that would make me hate this game. The gameplay is phenomenal. The story and cinematics are stellar. I am emotionally and mentally drained after 2 hours of gameplay, which is about how long I play in one sitting.

I dare say this one is better than the first...

 

Well... we all have our opinions. Glad you are enjoying it and it seems you got your money's worth.

 

I do wish you would give it a chance. Even if you’re unhappy with the storyline, or the company, the gameplay is amazing and I think you’d enjoy playing it if you enjoyed the first.

 

Nope... I've seen everything that I need to see and I don't need all the shit shoved down my throat. It is nothing but a revenge game and that is a shitty story line. I won't go any further because it will delve into spoilers. I don't care about the "game play". I care about the characters that I became attached to in the first one. To see how they treat those characters in the second one? I've no fucking desire to play this shitty game. It may be the best looking game ever created and the game play may be top notch. But the story line is lazy and what the do the the characters that we were drawn to in the first game? Nah.... fuck it and fuck Naughty Dog.

 

I'm with you, bro. Not sure about your last statement, but I think it is a worthy follow-up. So far, anyway. I'm not speed-running it, for sure.
