Project Cars career mode is pissing me off

 

why?

 

Because pcars sucks multiple ass on console. jmo.

 

I can't seem to advance

I started in Formula Rookie and have been stuck there for 3 seasons even though I've won the Championship twice and come in 2nd the other time , plus winning the driver's and constructors in the same season

All I get are invitations to lower class series

Also the cars that aren't single seater F1 style or LMP cars are next to impossible to drive and basically not enjoyable , I got so frustrated with them I skip those invitations

I like the single seater and the LMP stuff , I can't stand the regular style cars

 

I was super pumped for a Gran Turismo 6 reboot in a sense when the PS4 released cause GT4 and GT5 were just plain bad, I was expecting it to come out on the PS4 at least as a multiplat like EA did with Need for speed and burnout for the PS2, Original Xbox, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Sadly GT6 only held my attention for a few weeks then the cumbersome menu and lackluster gameplay kind of seemed old hat as I was finding myself playing Forza 4 and Forza horizons on the 360 cause they were just more engaging and fun.

I hope when GT7 is released that it actually competes for the crown as GT1-2-3 were top dogs in the racing scene and will always be considered near masterpieces.

 

I only play multiplayer and time trials so I'm pretty happy with it. I didn't buy it for career mode. I bought it to top the leader boards

 

Well yeah , only racing the best cars it is fine

 

Exactly. Cars I'll never be able to drive in real life appeals to me

 

That's what's pissing me off in Career Mode , the Formula Rookie open wheelers are pretty fun to drive and I've won the Chanpionship 2 years in a row but without winning in the garbage invitationals that you have to compete in basically street cars that wallow all over the track and spin out as soon as you apply any throttle it doesn't seem like I will get any contract offers from higher categories

If that is the way it actually is I'll be kinda disappointed

I buy racing games to race other people and to race the track "personally". I have never played career mode in any racing game I've owned. I "personally" see no need in it especially in this game since every car is open from the start. I race the track because I want to better my times and be at the top of the leader board. I want to drive tracks that I will never be able to drive in real life and driving against computer driven cars is no fun at all to me. Driving against a "actual" person (especially if they race clean) is WAY more enjoyable to me. I will run the Ring and Spa until the wheels fall off or until I top the leader boards.

I guess that's why they make different games for different people . I get that you can jump right to the best cars right away , and that is a nice feature of this game . That particular portion is a small fraction of the game in it's entirety though but I think it is good that with this game they have allowed open access to it without dumbing it down to an arcade version in order to quick race .

I like this game , but at this point I'm now looking forward to picking up F1 2015

Me too. But I will do the same in it also.

I'm competitive by nature (to a fault most times). I buy a game to compete against the best players not the computer. That's just me though.

 

Why would you buy F1 2015 and only play online against other people when you can already do that in Project Cars ?

Because I like racing games and F1 in particular. I like Project Cars but I also like the ability to drive any F1 vehicle out there. I like the diverse range of cars in Project Cars but I also like the F1 format so F1 15 will satisfy that.

As I said before... I'm competitive. I don't play the game, I play the game with and against others.

I like Destiny because of the pursuit of the hardest things to get in the game. I agree it is not without faults (many if I'm honest)... But I still enjoy it. I enjoy it mostly because of the people that we play with. Completing something hard is reward for me. The loot is (admittedly frustrating at times) icing on the cake. I like having the best shit in the game because when I walk through the tower I want others to know that I've done the hardest shit in the game to get the hardest things there are to get out of the game. That was one of the reasons I played MMO's for so long. Same reason I only play multiplayer when Iron Banner is running. Those are the only times you can get a tangible reward out of multiplayer. I've got a sniper that no one else (as far as I know) has in the game because of the re-forge option. It is basically a FateBringer Sniper.
