You know what would make all those awesome new parts even better?

If you hung them on your damn truck already!!!

I swear I get as anxious to see other peoples rigs get built as I do mine :D
maybe more-so because it's coolness that I'm not paying for.

I was going to say always use blue but I thought I remembered hearing something about the colors changing. Red used to be permanent and you needed heat to remove it.
Whatever, just pay attention to the labeling and don't use the permanent stuff

Blue or red should be fine. Red comes loose with enough force. ;)

    I went and looked...
I think the confusion came from the packaging. Blue and Red are both in a Red tube.

    Blue
Loctite® Threadlocker Blue 242® is designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners which require normal disassembly with standard hand tools. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces. It protects threads from rust and corrosion and prevents loosening from shock and vibration. Loctite® Threadlocker Blue 242® is particularly suited for applications on less active substrates such as stainless steel and plated surfaces, where disassembly is required for servicing.

    Red
Loctite® Threadlocker Red 271™ is designed for the permanent locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces. It protects threads from rust and corrosion and prevents loosening from shock and vibration. It is only removable once cured by heating up parts to 500°F (260°C).

Do what you will, but I would recommend against the red based on past experience.

Good info. I always put a small amount of red on the LCA ball joint bolts to make sure they don't come loose. An impact wrench always gets them lose later.
