That's the pic I've been wanting to see. Thanks.

I'm 6'2" so I definitely have to let the tailgate down. But if I have a topper and it starts raining, I would at least have the option of closing the tailgate and going "fetal." Ha. Would be better than the back seat. I've tried the back seat. It was a long night. I'm also attracted to the collapsible feature of the Supertop. I don't want to have to clear storage space to store a big hard top if I need to open up my bed to haul something.

Maybe his argument will be that he can put groceries in his extended cab and not worry about them falling over. My dad used to have a Miata and I teased him all the time about how ridiculously small the trunk was. I'd say, "Just think, Dad, you could use this space to store a book... maybe a shoe... or even a ball cap."

ha ha ha, yeah bob doesn't have much bed space to begin with he has a lot of gear back there anyhow, i doubt he could sleep in his bed nowadays, thats why he has the RTT. I just set up a normal ol tent straight on the ground and leave gear in the bed to stay dry!!

let me know if you have any further questions about the pelfreybilt front bumper

I just want to say that while I realize our 10-12 week lead time SUCKS large, I guarantee you that it's worth the wait!

Here's (just a few) reasons you should choose Pelfreybilt:

    1) Voted #1 Vendor on Tacoma World Forum
    2) We Design & Manufacture High Quality Products
    3) We offer OUTSTANDING Customer Service; Unmatched Anywhere else
    4) We Run Our Company with Integrity!

Like you mentioned, we're offering 10% off this month-which ends Saturday, so let's get your order going!!

You won't regret it & honestly, we're making HUGE changes that will be improving our lead times, so while we are quoting 10-12 weeks, there's a chance it will be sooner-we just don't over promise to get the sale! (you know, that whole integrity thing) ;)

Let me know if you have any questions-here to help!

Thanks for the pics. These are all helpful. I'm not sold on the full hoops yet. It clearly provides more protection, but I prefer the look of the center only. Who knows, maybe I'll get one with a center hoop and change my mind.

    ^^^

    She's telling the truth :)

    Single hoop: Looks
    Three hoop: Function

Also, I agree the single hoop can look better in picture format, but I will tell you I fell in love with the three hoops after putting them on my truck and seeing them in person.

THIS! ALL OF IT!!! Their customer service was the best I ever encountered! They kept me up to date on my bumper's build and even took the time to make a couple calls to fastenal to find out where it was when I hadn't heard from them. I'll be sending money their way for all my aftermarket bumpers at the very least!

Yours is aluminum, right? Have you beat on it much? Do you have a gauge for its durability?

    Correct.

I haven't banged on it much, but I'll post some quotes below of when other people were asking me about my choice of aluminum. I don't plan on ramming into rocks so it will be good for my offroading use.

Sorry for the build hijack PS78 :anonymous:

no problem matt, I'm always trying to help out pelfreybilt. Tyler and Satin are great people

Richard, are you planning on dragging it over rocks a bunch? if so then id go with the steel option and it will save you some money too. If you plan on using it for light offroading and not dragging it all over rocks then id say get the aluminum, i don't plan on really dragging mine on rocks trying to climb walls so i chose the weight savings instead of the stoutness of the steel, the aluminum bumper will do everything i need and is stronger than the OEM one for sure :D

check link below for strength test, no flex on this puppy!! its very well built

I don't beat on my truck much and don't intend to go head-to-head with any boulders on purpose. I'm wondering more how it'll fare against a deer or another vehicle on the road. I had no problem navigating the roads last weekend during the snowstorm, but it's not me I'm worried about.

What I think concerns me most is I'm going to decide to order this bumper and at the last second talk myself into getting the rear also... and sliders... and additional skids... but hey, who needs food on your table when you have a fully armored truck?
