That's awesome and yeah... I feel that. Had a few splendid days of snow up there so far...

I should start drawing up some bed rack designs myself.

Can you see your center hoop when sitting in the driver's seat? I'm being super OCD on my bumper purchase and love everything about the Pelfreybilt except the center hoop height/angle. Pelfrey won't take custom requests so I'm either stuck with it or getting something custom made after I get the bumper. Your thoughts on height and angle of the hoop?

@duvinclunk yeah i can see the center hoop, it sticks up about an inch or so into my visible line of sight but doesn't bother me at all.

That's what I was worrying about. My coworker had one with a Demello center hoop and it couldn't be seen. A local with the 12-15 Pelfrey with center hoop can't be seen. It always looks to me like the 05-11 hoop is taller.

might be, the 05-11 hoop could be slightly taller since the center grill is taller on that model truck. I wish they could do a custom hoop to meet your spec, but you could always search out another fabricator that will put a custom hoop on or find another fab shop for the bumper to match what you want fully custom.

That's exactly how mine is too. I like it right there because I don't even notice it while driving normally, but when I need it I can easily tell where the front of my bumper is by looking at the hoop.

I agree with @mountainmonkey 100% otherwise i would probably run the bumper into things more, i can gauge pretty well to within a inch or so where the front of my truck is by that hoop.

I can't see my Demello. Look on the bright side, this is a great indicator as to how close you are to whatever you are pulling up to.

Edit: Just saw Mountainmonkey's comment. Agreed.

I feel like I do just fine with knowing where the front is now that I don't know if I'd need an indicator as such. I'll probably just get it and mount it before coating. If I hate it I can get it cut off and a custom one done.

Yup, found this picture on Instagram and it shows much better how much taller the 05-11 hoop is. I'd prefer the height of the 12-15 hoop and don't mind if it cuts off the top of the grill when looking at the front...

Looks good! Yes, they don't offer custom heights but I was able to get a non-welded hoop and custom cut it down and had it welded locally. I haven't picked it up from powdercoat yet even though it has been done for two weeks. Been busy around here.
