Just found this out today because I was shopping for one, and had an honest Internet Sales dude inform me.
Factory rebates on these are pretty much unheard of, as we all know.
So if anyone is about to pull the trigger tonight - wait until tomorrow.
    Good luck!

I bought mine 3 days ago. Would Toyota honor it or am I shit outta luck?

Don't know. That's a bummer, man. Call corporate and bitch. Worth a try, but I would be amazed if they did anything.

I searched this today online and have only seen the $1000 military incentive come up that expires 7/5. Any further details of a broader $1k rebate?

I can confirm this for the Mid-Atlantic region. Had a sales-person I'm working with at Koons in Westminister MD email me yesterday to state there is a 1000 rebate on the Tacoma, and my buddy is finalizing his sale today at a dealer in Cranberry, PA. Walked in and his salesman told him they will need to rework his sale price as Toyota announced a 1000 dollar rebate. I searched online for more details and like some of the other responses Im coming up empty less the Military Appreciation.

When I was shopping, RAM, Ford and Chevy had $33K MSRP trucks advertised for $22K. Of course, that's with "rebates," 70% of which hardly anyone qualifies for in total. One is the military rebate.

I'm by no means an all-world car buyer...but I believe many sales people will keep this to themselves unless you of course bring it up.

Is this just for Tacomas or all Toyota vehicles? Looking at a 4runner

It's the end of the month, I would come in today and bait them to close the deal on Friday. Let their desperation do the work. They would sell their mothers if it helps them hit the number.
$1000K? highly doubt it. It's salesman tactic to get you in their dealer. Toyota wouldn't even give .9% financing on Tacomas, think they're handing out cash?

I bought mine on Sat and got about $4k off MSRP (about 10%). Would I have gotten $5K if I waited?

I get what your saying...however...how do you explain the fact that a salesperson would bring it up, with a buyer mind you, that has already closed their deal and is doing nothing more than signing paperwork and taking delivery of the vehicle?
I guess this specific salesperson is OK with just handing the buyer back 1000 of his profit??
Explain it how you will...believe what you want...I'm just sharing what I see happening in this current circumstance right now.

The desperation tactic doesn't work on Tacoma's because they will sell regardless of how frugal one person may be in wanting to buy one. The truth is they will simply not get to haggle with these trucks like they initially anticipated in doing so when they showed up. Supply and demand.
