So CARiD has been marketing this new line of "Toyota OE" parts, some being obsolete via Toyota directly, so I checked them out. Asked if they are indeed OEM Toyota, as they are using Toyota part numbers, parts diagrams, etc. They ARE NOT OEM Toyota, they are aftermarket parts at OEM prices, just an FYI for the community, if you didn't aready know this.

It's not just them, you have to beware of "OE." Fleabay is infected with it. "OE" means Original Equipment, not Original Equipment Manufacturer. I'm surprised they say it's aftermarket right there, a lot of Fleabay sellers do stuff like "Toyota Original Equipment part" but if you look close under brand it's likely to say unbranded or something else.

The price of convenience and potentially at lower cost.

Just to clarify, my original post had the email I recieved after asking about the CARiD "Toyota OE" parts.
Below is the actual description from their website, which implies parts are "genuine Toyota OEM" which they are not.
    Total misrepresentation on their part.

    Assholes.

I go to the local dealership for things I want no room for ambiguity on. I can usually get the internet price at the counter, which saves 15%. Ask nicely and see. Maybe offer a reach around.

They didn’t imply they are genuine Toyota parts, they flat out said they are. False advertising.

Do aftermarket grilles not fit right? I was going to get one.

They fit OK, just not the same fit/quality as the factory Toyota parts, which many are now discontinued, so no choice!
