PSA of the Day - Check your Transfer Case Actuator Vent Hose

    Sliders, Tailgate Liner
    This is just a friendly reminder to crawl/roll/slide under your 4X4 Taco and check that your transfer case vent tube is not split or falling off.

    If it is, trim the end and reinstall!!!!!

    I just did that tonight.
    Well at the transfer case one.
    I had to get under there to take some pics for someone else on here.
    While I was under there, I checked mine.
    The hose is a bit hard, but it looks good. I'm going to leave it alone.

    My actuator was acting up a few years ago, water got inside and corroded the contacts through a split hose. My truck would partially go into 4wd and grind the gears in the transfer case. Took it apart, cleaned it, trimmed the hose and reattached. Problem solved!
