I decided to try Cooper STT Pro's from personal recommendations & tons of positive reviews. Pretty much have regretted it since I drove out of Discount Tire.
Everyone said they were quiet, comparable to all terrains. NOT. These are actually the loudest mud terrains I've ever owned (I've owned >20 trucks/Jeeps & half of them had mud terrains).
Flat spots. They get flat spots!!!! Like old bias ply tires. I work 24+ hours @ a time and after it sitting 24+ hours, when I drive off from work it takes a mile or 2 before they quit blump/blump/blump/blump & become round again. Not acceptable this day & age. I'm thinking of returning these tires.
    So, my question is:
Do your Cooper STT Pro's get flat spots after sitting for 24+ hours? I find this to be completely unacceptable.

Completely agree. My 80 has Toyo's w/35K+ miles & can sit for 2 weeks w/out getting flat spots.
I googled these Coopers & there's others who complain of flat spots after sitting as well. WTH? I haven't got flat spots on tires since bias ply tire days.

Head back to discount tires. Sounds like a defect. Bummer and annoying for sure

I work 24’s as well. And my Nitto Trail Grapplers do the exact same thing. Also, my nittos are loud as hell at 3/4 tread to the point I want to get rid of them. And I was actually going to switch to Stt Pro’s.

That's crazy! I've never owned Nitto's either but I have owned Toyo's & they never did this. My Toyo ATII's did get louder as more mileage was put on them but they are silent compared to these Cooper's. I'd have to say these Cooper's are twice as loud as BFG Mud Terrains (using that tire as an example since I've owned 3 sets of them & a ton of people have used them as well so it's a good/common reference). I assume they'll only get louder once they start wearing so that's no bueno. I know MT's make noise, & I never expected them to be silent, but I DID expect them to be much quieter than what they are based on so many people saying how quiet they are.

I've been running STT Pros for 2 years. I haven't experienced any flat spot issues. I did have some radial pull right after I bought them though. They swapped out one of the tires and all has been good since.

They are quieter than my previous MTZs and old style STT. Also quieter than my buddy's Dick Cepek Extreme Country and his previous KM2s.

One thing I have noticed is that if my alignment is even slightly off, they are louder when cornering. Also if I run less than 34psi front or 32psi rear, they are louder.

Mine does pull to the right as well, & I had my alignment done the day after I got the tires so I know it's good. Hmmmm. Maybe one of the front tires is the sole problem causing the pull, the noise & the flat spot? My steering wheel jerks side to side for a mile or 2 so I know at least one front tire does the flat spot thing.

My steering wheel is smooth up to 85mph (haven't driven faster than that). No vibration at all. Actually surprised how well these things balanced. 1.5 - 2.5 oz on each.

My factory Dunlops get flat spots after sitting for 12 hours, but only after it starts getting cold out in the fall. Not an issue when it’s warm out and not an issue with my Yokohama winter tires no matter how low the temperature goes.

I know on at least 1 tire I have 4oz.! Pisses me off. I grew up around a tire shop and have had multiple discussions with Discount on how to properly mount a tire. Every time I've had them rotate the tire on the wheel, that they put a bunch of weight on, they've had to put much less, if any, weights on the wheels but they're usually to lazy to do it.

Finally made it to DT today. The guy told me that's just how these Cooper's are & they aren't a very good tire. He said he's heard quite a few complaints about them. He recommended I go w/ Nitto Trail or Ridge Grapplers. He'll swap them out & I just pay the difference. Looks like I'll be going w/the Nitto Trail Grapplers. I sure hope I like them better than these!

I came from trail grapples to the stt pro. They don't come in a good size but the cooper's are awful for balance. Mine all feel wobbly and now that you mention it the flat spots could totally be it. I may go talk to them tomorrow about a remedy as I'm experiencing issues too

Well hell. I just discovered the Nitto Ridge Grapplers are now available in 16"! Now it's between Trail Grapplers or Ridge Grapplers.

Relentless Armored! Too many others to list.
Love my STT Pro's, definitely a quiet MT and runs well on the street for me. NOT an AT tire though, thats for sure. Maybe you need to adjust tire pressure up a bit to solve the noise/flat spotting?

I've had the Trail grapplers, ran on a 4runner and a Tundra- hated them! Cooper is way quieter and last longer, far superior traction too. The Ridge grapplers are very nice though, had them after the Trail graps on the Tundra and then again on a Duramax and they're fantastic tires for an aggressive AT style tire that goes on a DD vehicle, but definitely not an MT when it comes to offroad traction.
If you like MT's you may look at the new Yokohama Geolandar MT G003, very smooth and quiet for an MT. Equal to the Cooper ST maxx or GY Duratrac for noise but much more aggressive.
