Hey pta_taco. Love the truck, I run the same size of tire 255/85 but in KM2s. Now that you have had them for some time, has your opinion changed. I just barely put my 255's on and now have the bug to get some sweet rims like the ray 10's or sr8s. I feel like the offset that they run would not work with this tire size though. I have run both .75" and 1" bora spacer. The only time I have rubbed the cab mount is with the 1" spacer. I believe the scs wheels would move the tire out 1.5" over stock. Other mods that affect rubbing would include JBA control arms set at 3 degree caster. Thanks

Tires are still holding up great. Still in love with the tire size. I know KM2s are slightly bigger then ST MaxxS so your rubbing experience might be different then mine. I only rub at full lock while running at 30psi or lower.

I can take a picture of how far the tire sticks out of the wheel well to help you get an idea. Because I don’t know how far out the new rims actually push them out over stock. Maybe the spacer pushes out further then a SCS rim but I do not know.

But as for UCAs I still am running stock (still want to switch but bought a boat... cut back my funding. Haha) but there’s is plenty of room behind the tire for an upgrade.

    Hey @pta_taco,

How do like the molle config on your driver's seat? I've been looking to get something similar.

I love it. No problems fits plenty of gear that was just sitting around the truck. Wanting to get a second one for passenger side but just haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

Did your lift settle at all since then? I'm wondering if I can fit the 255/85r16 with a 2" lift in the front and 1.5" in the rear with my second gen. Are you at 1.5" of lift in the rear when you have your tent setup on the bed? And when you take it off you're at 2" of lift in the rear?

Without the tent the rear sits about 1.75 higher than stock, with a tent 1.5. Even towing a boat and tent on still would sit an inch higher than stock.
the front dropped alittle over time. It sits about 2 inches over stock now

Thanks for the quick response. Love what you've done to the truck, it looks really good. Sub'd. Any rubbing when you're an inch higher than stock when towing with the 255's?

Nope I haven’t experienced any rubbing in the past three years now. Towing or off-roading. Haven’t done any trimming

Did you have any rubbing with the 265/75R16 KO2s prior to your lift? I just bought a set of Ray 10s 16x8 -12mm offset and i'm trying to decide on tire size. I have a stock suspension 2017 SR5. I appreciate any insight. Love the build you put together!

I didn’t have any rubbing issues at all with 265s. I don’t know if the sr5 has the air-dam, but the off-road does not come with it so I dont know if That will be a factor for you.

It did have the front air-dam but I took it off and I don't have any mud flaps (seems like those 2 things are what most complain about first with clearance issues). I'm not sure if the off-road comes with a little extra height from factory than the SR5. Thanks for the response!

I use to tow a boat, weighing around 1800, didn’t have much of a problem. Even in the Sierra mountains it was towing fine. Rpms got a little high in some parts but nothing to crazy.

You've got my dream suspension and tire setup! I was worried that the tires might look a little skinny but they dont look half bad in the pics.

16MPG with 33s and an RTT sounds like highway miles though. I get 16MPG in the city stock just w/ racks and I drive like an old man.
