Anyone here running the TRD wheels from Toyota looking into getting them for my DCLB was wondering if anyone knew how the fitment is on them I see they are a 7.5 on the width was wondering how well they would be with yokohama geolandar mt tires on them.

Since they are now a discontinued wheel, and have been on many Toyota Vehicles I would say there is no issue.

Well, well, what a coincidence. I happen to have those wheels and within the next couple of weeks will be putting some LT255/85R16 Geolandar MT's on them. I'll try to remember to come back and post some pics but if I don't please don't hesitate to shoot me a PM in a week or two.

Currently I'm using 265/75R16 Wildpeak AT3's and the fitment is good but I wanted to try some 33" skinnies. That said, the Geolandar's look REALLY skinny so I'm a bit nervous, lol. Currently, with the 265 Wildpeaks they are almost flush with the fender flares, perhaps a 1/2" inch protruding.

Man!!! Those look great so I have a set of 265 75 16 yokohama mt that I want to mount those wheels on I love the style of them. Have you tried airing down on them by chance? Just curious as to what you can air down on them to.

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of these wheels too. The looks and specs are about perfect IMO.

I'm new to offroading and have only had my truck for a little under two years so take any recommendations with a grain of salt... The truck isn't my daily so most of the mileage is offroad or highway getting to the dirt. I air down frequently and usually run 18-20psi. I can't say how much this has improved traction but it definitely has improved the ride quality - especially because I end up on a lot of washboard which is terrible at full pressure.

That said, the wheel won't really affect how much you can air down. Unless it's a beadlock they're all basically going to have the same characteristics in terms of airing down. From what I've read the wheel width vs tire width can be a factor in how much you can air down though. Something I need to do some more research on so I can better understand the factors involved.

What suspension are you going to run with the MTs? I'm on 285/75/16 MT KO3 and thinking of sizing down on the next set.
