Public Service Announcement Regarding youtube! MUST READ!!

Ive sent this pm out to a few people already on here.

To make a long story short...Google owns Youtube....therefore your accounts between the two are linked together. That means your full name is posted with all your videos uploaded to youtube.

If you have videos of yourself racing/speeding/etc or anything at all really and desire to keep your privacy, you need to change your name on google account immediately as to not incriminate yourself and or lose privacy!

Do it now!!

This has been the case for a number of years. That's why your Google login (like your gmail account) will log you into all of Google's sites and services.

I wonder what's more concerning, corporations collecting all my private data and selling it behind my back, or the government.

 

Don't even care anymore. You can't hide so why try? Don't want the consequences? Don't do stupid shit and record it.

Yet somehow its so difficult for people to understand and follow that.

 

No it has not. It was quietly changed just a few months ago..at least with concern to youtube

People use their real name for gmail. Then google uses that on youtube

 

I don't know... I thought its been at least a year for YouTube and much longer than that for other Google sites.
