Went through a fairly shallow puddle (not a pothole, just pooled water on a road during a rainstorm). Unavoidable. Steering wheel pulled to the right fairly hard, I've got 285 75 16's and I know they will offer more resistance due to the extra width. Truck has 3" lift.
Is it likely to damage anything steering or suspension related when going through a puddle like this? Just wasn't expecting such a strong pull when I encountered the puddle (puddle was just on the right side). I have never had this size tire, but I've heard others say it's fairly common and won't hurt a thing. Truck drives straight, but I keep imagining it's got a bit of play in the steering now.
    Thanks!

The pull is what happens when you hit a puddle with one side.

The only choices you have now are to:
    1.Part out
    2. Drive on, like the millions of other drivers do when they hit a puddle like that.

Seriously, nothing to worry about. :)

If a puddle cause steering play, you had a underlying issue before the puddle.

Thanks all, I kind of thought it was unlikely to do damage. Just never had this size tire, and the pull was much more than I expected from a puddle. I need to keep in mind that this is a small truck with big tires (I'm used to an F150 with 235 70 16's). All I could think was the force could cause a change in caster, but again, the wheel is rolling so not like the abrupt stop from a pothole, etc.
I appreciate all of the replies!
